Two men. One goal.
The PCW World Heavyweight Championship.
On June 26, 2011, Premium Championship Wrestling was closing its doors; but not before one last match.
In one corner, you had Sickboy. The reigning PCW World Heavyweight Champion and member of the Elite.
In the other corner, you had the man known as true greatness, Michael Morrison.
The event was Cataclysm and it was sure to pack one hell of a punch to close things out.
For Sickboy, he was looking to retire on top. After Yoshiru Long had carried the World strap for most of 2011, Sickboy was looking to finish what Long started and continue the dominance of the Elite. He had already announced that this would be his final match and he thought there would be no better way to call it a career than by retiring as the PCW World Heavyweight Champion. The Elite had all the momentum and the deck was certainly stacked in their favor.
For the challenger, it had been an interesting 2011 year. What started as a dominating run, resulting in the PCW Platinum Championship, turned chaotic very quickly. Although not an official member of the Elite, Morrison was known to hang around Long and Sickboy; even competing side-by-side with them in PCW sanctioned matches. That all changed, however, at Slamathon II when the Elite attacked Morrison in his match with Steve Storme; costing Michael the PCW Platinum Championship.
In the weeks to come, Morrison not only suffered beatings at the hands of the Elite but his confidence took a big hit as well. For the first time in his life, he was starting to doubt himself and wondered if he could still get the job done. Being bloodied and battered on a consistent basis will do that to a man. Little by little, however, the confidence came back and after defeating Yoshiru Long, to earn the title opportunity against Sickboy, and Heather Monroe, the man known as true greatness was back. Morrison was going to do everything in his power to make sure that when the doors of Premium Championship Wrestling closed, the Elite would be no longer on top.

DM: What's this?! Sickboy is making his way over to the timekeeper's table...and he has the World Heavyweight Championship in hand! He makes his way back to the ring and slides in!
SS: The referee is warning Sickboy that he'll disqualify him for using the belt!
DM: I don't think Sickboy cares! He's poised...ready for Morrison to return to his feet! Morrison crawls to the ropes, using them to slowly pull himself back up. He's to his feet as Sickboy rushes at him with the belt...THUNDER STRUCK!!! Morrison drills Sickboy on the run! And he falls on top of the champion for the cover!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THREE!!!
DM: NEW CHAMPION!!!
*DING! DING! DING!*
Jimmy Wilkes: Here is your winner and NEWWWW PCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! "TRUE GREATNESS"... MICHAEL MORRISON!
"Thunderstruck" by AC/DC hits and the Cleveland crowd cheers very loudly as Michael Morrison is able to celebrate his victory upon receiving the PCW World Heavyweight Championship belt.
DM: HE DID IT! Michael Morrison is the new PCW World Heavyweight Champion.
Matthews: That was a great match. Morrison finally slayed The Elite away from the title and gives these fans something to cheer about.
Morrison accomplished his goal and the Elite had finally been taken down a peg or two.
Fast-forward to August 18, 2012, and while the circumstances have changed, the competitors remain the same.
Two men. One goal.
The PCW World Heavyweight Championship.
At Wrestle Extravaganza II: Beantown Brawl, it will be Michael Morrison versus Sickboy.
It’s the match that everyone wants to see and everything is on the line.
For Sickboy, he is looking for a measure of revenge. He is looking to reclaim the belt that he feels like he should have never lost.
For Morrison, he is looking to keep the belt that he so dearly loves. The Elite have once again resorted to sneak attacking the World Champion and what better way to stick it to them than by defeating Sickboy at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. He knows it won’t be easy but if he was able to do it once, there is no doubt that he can do it again. He has no other choice.

(The air was thick and sticky. The sun was shining so bright that you needed a pair of sunglasses just to keep your eyes open. The birds were flying overhead and chirping as the sounds of people chatting permeated the atmosphere. Although it was a little on the hot side, it was a beautiful day for a baseball game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Everything was going right for the hometown Reds this season. They currently sat in first place in the National League Central standings and they were playing some of their best ball in franchise history. The playoffs certainly seemed well within reach and the vibe amongst the fan base was optimistic and positive.
As the players continued to warm up on the field, minutes before opening pitch, a special fan stood behind home plate. As this fan gazed upon the activity on the field, he was beaming with happiness. The Reds were his team and had been his entire life. From the earliest recollections of his childhood, memories of watching the Reds on television and listening to them on the radio filled his head. He loved baseball and although his talents took him in another direction, from the childhood dream of being a starting pitcher for his hometown team, there was nothing more he enjoyed than sitting in front of a big screen and watching a game. Simply put, to this fan, this was euphoria.
Wearing a white Reds’ jersey, with the number one and “True Greatness” spelled out on the back, there stood the PCW World Heavyweight Champion; true greatness himself, Michael Morrison. Wearing his customary black Oakley sunglasses, with the PCW World Heavyweight Championship belt draped perfectly over his right shoulder, Michael looked on with a nervous excitement. He had been invited to throw out the first pitch before today’s game and he couldn’t believe that he was getting this opportunity.
Morrison had arrived to the park early and was able to take part in batting practice. As several players on the team were wrestling fans, they were excited to meet and greet the champ, as well as take a few quick snapshots with the title belt. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and Michael fit in nicely.
At present time, Michael was rocking back and forth on his heels. The only thing on his mind was not bouncing the pitch. There was nothing more embarrassing than that. As long as he threw it to the catcher on the fly, he would consider that a success. The butterflies continued to churn in his stomach as reality was about to hit.)
Joe Zerhusen, PA Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s now time for the ceremonial first pitch. Please welcome a man who competes in Premium Championship Wrestling and is their current World Champion. He is known as true greatness and has achieved success in professional wrestling wherever he has competed. To throw out tonight’s ceremonial first pitch, put your hands together for one of Cincinnati’s very own…MICHAEL…MORRISON!!!
(The crowd gives Michael a nice reception as he walks towards the mound, waving to the fans in the process. As Morrison reaches the mound, Reds’ catcher Ryan Hanigan sets up behind the plate and pounds his glove. Michael takes a couple deep breaths and begins mumbling to himself.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Alright asshole, you have 40,000 people watching you…let’s not screw this up, ok? Nice and easy to the plate. Just get it there on the fly, let these people cheer you and then you can savor the satisfaction of achieving something you‘ve wanted to do your entire life. Let’s think Nolan Ryan and not Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn!
(With that, he reared back and chucked the ball towards the plate. It wasn’t a perfect strike, as it would have probably nailed a left-handed batter right in the face, but the most important thing was that it didn’t bounce. Michael smiled as he approached Hanigan.)
Ryan Hanigan: A little high and wide but there’s nothing wrong with a little chin music, right?
(Morrison laughed.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: This was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life! I’m just glad I didn’t bounce it.
Ryan Hanigan: Nah, no worries. Nice job.
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Thanks Ryan. Good luck tonight.
Ryan Hanigan: You too man. I hope you kick Sickboy’s ass!
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: There is no doubt about that.
(As the Cincinnati crowd applauded the pitch, Hanigan gave Morrison the ball and the two parted ways. Michael was escorted to his diamond seat behind home plate and proceeded to enjoy the game. Fans approached Morrison periodically for an autograph and he obliged. The Reds were able to pick up the win and Michael thoroughly enjoyed himself.
Afterwards, Michael was taken to the Montgomery Inn Boathouse restaurant, along the Ohio River, as he was scheduled to appear on a special live remote of “Tony Talks” on 1490 WCIN. Tony often did his show at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse after Reds games and it was a big hit. Fans would pack the house to not only enjoy the great flavored ribs but also chat Reds baseball. It was a great combination that went over big with the community.
As Tony finished setting up and was minutes from going on the air, Michael walked in to a large ovation. He acknowledged the crowd and sat down beside Tony, shaking his hand. They made small talk before the bumper music fired up and the show began.)
Tony: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to another “Tony Talks” program on 1490 WCIN! We are live right here from the Montgomery Inn Boathouse!
(The live audience claps.)
Tony: What a win today by our beloved Cincinnati Reds! They continue to play outstanding baseball and I tell you what folks; I think we’ll be seeing October baseball in the Queen City this year!
(The crowd claps yet again.)
Tony: I have a special guest with me here today and listeners to the program will instantly recognize this man’s name. He is the Premium Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion and he also threw out the first pitch today at Great American Ball Park! I’m talking, of course, about the man who calls himself true greatness…Michael Morrison! Mr. Morrison, how are you today sir?
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: I’m doing great today Tony. I got to step onto the mound at GABP and then watch a Reds win in person. And I didn’t bounce the pitch!
(Tony laughs.)
Tony: No, you certainly did not and it is probably a good thing. Despite your accolades as a professional wrestler and the fact that you’re from Cincinnati, I have a feeling that the GABP crowd might have booed you a little bit if that thing had skipped to the plate.
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well Tony, it certainly wouldn’t have been the first time I was booed and probably wouldn’t have been the last.
Tony: That’s a good point. You know Michael, you have a huge match coming up at Wrestle Extravaganza on August 18 in Boston. A lot of my listeners are wrestling fans but for those who might not have heard, Morrison will be defending his PCW World Heavyweight Championship against Elite member Sickboy. These two squared off last June at Cataclysm where Michael, you emerged as the victor. Now before we get into that match, I want to ask you something. What happened against Danielle Lopez at the last episode of Rapture? I thought you had that match won and she was able to pull out the win. Fluke, or no?
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: I simply got beat, Tony. Look, I said it before the match and I’ll say it again right here…Danielle Lopez is a great wrestler. That has never been in question. All you have to do is take a look at her win-loss record and you’ll see that she simply does not lose wrestling matches. I have no choice but to acknowledge that she beat me. So with that being said, congratulations to Ms. Lopez.
Tony: Wow Michael, you’re taking it a lot better than I thought you would.
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: I’m taking it well because of two reasons. Number one, I have bigger fish to fry right now. And that is Sickboy. Number two, I have no doubt in my mind that Lopez and I will meet again. Hell, we might even meet with the PCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line. When that time comes, we’ll see how she does because while she wins the majority of her matches, I don’t lose, PERIOD, when my belt is on the line. I’m pissed off, sure, but I’m not going to pout about it. I’m simply going to move ahead and focus on Sickboy. I’ll just store this loss to Lopez as motivation for now and in the future. My focus is on defending the PCW World Heavyweight Championship in Boston.
Tony: Michael, sometimes I think you were born to do radio because that is simply a dynamite segue.
(Morrison laughs.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: When you’re true greatness, you’re great at a lot of things.
Tony: You mentioning that you don’t lose when your belt is on the line is a perfect segue because of what’s coming up next for you. Wrestle Extravaganza. August 18. Michael Morrison versus Sickboy. The Elite has made your life difficult lately, Michael, as it seems like you are being attacked in the ring every single week. It happened again on the last episode of Rapture after your match against Lopez. And now, it sounds like everyone under the sun is a member of that group, or at least working with them. First, Sickboy makes comments about James Baker telling Sickboy to purposely lose at Cataclysm and now, it sounds like PCW interviewer Michelle Silva has been in on the action. Your thoughts on that?
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well Tony, the whole thing is getting comical. I mean, is every single person on planet Earth a member of the Elite? Are you, Tony?
Tony: Well sir, I was approached to be the official radio talk show host of the Elite but they couldn’t match my salary here at 1490 WCIN!
(Michael laughs, as well as members of the live audience.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Yeah, that sounds about right. I don’t know what to say, really. I mean, Sickboy likes to run me down and tries to convince anyone who will listen to him that I’m nowhere near his level. He always likes to say that “I am better than you” in one form or another but the evidence would prove otherwise. I have faced off against virtually every single member of that group and I beat them in the ring. Yoshiru Long? Check. Heather Monroe, when she was in the Elite? Check. And most importantly, Sickboy? Oh yeah, check.
Now sure, I can’t deny that the Elite has gotten the upper hand on me on more than one occasion. Like you said, they’re attacking me just about every week. And I guess one could look down on me for not anticipating all of these attacks. But you want to know why I’m not constantly looking over my shoulder when I’m wrestling? It is because I want to win matches. You know, it’s funny…Sickboy came out in his promo and said that he wanted to become the greatest wrestler in Premium Championship Wrestling. He wanted to cement his legacy. Well Tony, it was a fine speech but it’s hard to be known as the greatest when all you do is attack people. It’s hard to cement your legacy as anything but a thug or a goon when all you do on a regular basis is lay in the weeds and take advantage of someone when they’re vulnerable. Now I’m certainly no saint but when the rubber meets the road, I’ll do my dirty work inside the ring and I’ll do it when all competitors are at 100%.
So if the Elite wants to recruit everyone under the sun to join their group, that’s fine by me. As far as I’m concerned, the only reason why Sickboy feels the need to get everyone on his side is because he knows how good I am. He knows why I’m the PCW World Heavyweight Champion and he knows that after Wrestle Extravaganza, I’ll be the longest reigning World Champion in the history of this company. That’s not me being arrogant, oh no. That’s me stating facts.
Tony: On the subject of you being World Champion, there were a few interesting comments made by Sickboy. He said you were not a fighting champion, James Baker basically forced you to defend your title against him and that the match between you and Leon Lonewolf at Slamathon was a dud that made the company no money.
(Michael rolls his eyes as the live crowd ooo’s and ahhhh’s.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well that’s the Elite mindset for you. They are so convinced that everything they say and do is the right thing but anyone with half a brain knows how full of crap they all are. I mean, just take his comment about my match against Lonewolf, for example. We tore the house down that night. I’ve never heard a live crowd so jacked up for a match in my life. Think about it. Lonewolf is one of the most popular wrestlers in PCW history. The crowd loves him. And although he is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, Lonewolf can still perform at a high level. And he had a chance to capture the PCW World Heavyweight Championship against a man who most people seem to dislike. Why people can’t appreciate true greatness is beyond me but that’s not the point. The point is that EVERYONE tuned in to watch Lonewolf try and capture the World Title. So for Sickboy to say otherwise is just pure ignorance and another example of the kind of character, of lack there of, that he has.
As far as the other crap he said about me not defending my title and Baker making me go up against Sickboy, it’s nothing but pure hogwash. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I will defend my championship against anyone at anytime. I say that, Tony, because I know that I’m better than everyone else. Usually, the only time my belt gets defended is at pay-per-views and that’s because of, well, money. Why give away a prized title fight on free television? Sickboy spouted off like he knew everything there was to know about making money in his last promo so why should the pay-per-view strategy come as a surprise? Hell, even a five-year old knows those economics. Curtis, my friend, you really should either shut up or have Silva do all of your talking because 99 % percent of the stuff that comes out of your mouth makes absolutely zero sense. For someone who thinks they are so much smarter than me, a lot of your statements are pretty easy to pick apart. It’s almost to the point of being embarrassing. I feel sorry for you and your lack of education. But that’s ok because I’m looking forward to squaring off against you once more where talking will not be required. And whether Baker “made me” face you or not is irrelevant because I can’t wait for this match to take place. I’ve wanted this for a long time. I can’t wait to show everyone once again that while you can attack me week after week after week, you can’t beat me when we’re on level ground. You’re a coward Sickboy and I can’t wait to prove that again in Boston.
Tony: You’re listening to “Tony Talks,” right here on 1490 WCIN and we’re live at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse! We invite each and every one of you down here to not only enjoy the world famous ribs but also chat a little Reds baseball and professional wrestling! My guest with me here today is none other than PCW World Heavyweight Champion, Michael Morrison. The champ also threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the big Reds’ win today! It looks like we have a few people lined up behind our crowd mic so let’s get to some questions. Go ahead sir! What is your question?
Audience member # 1 -- Tom: Yes Tony, Michael, my name is Tom and I have a question for the champ.
Tony: Go ahead.
Audience member #1 -- Tom: Michael, I was just wanting to know what you threw at the game today. Was it a fastball or did you go with the knuckleball?
(Michael laughs.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well Tom, I think the correct term would be “batting-practice fastball.” Had a batter been in the box, and connected, it probably wouldn’t have landed yet. It felt good on the mound today but I don’t think I’ll be joining the Reds rotation any time soon. I don’t believe my 60-mile-per-hour fastball would help the Reds make the playoffs this year.
(All of a sudden, a member of the live audience yells “Don’t quit your day job!”)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that!
Tony: The line continues to grow so let’s get another question.
Audience member #2 -- Sue: Hi Michael, I’m Sue and I was wondering who your favorite player was growing up as a young man.
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: My favorite player as a kid was Barry Larkin. He was a great shortstop and a phenomenal hitter. I can still remember how excited I was when I wrote Barry a letter and he sent back an autographed baseball card for me. I still have that card and I knew then how much I liked him. He just went into the hall-of-fame this year, as you all know, and I was happy to see that.
Tony: Next question…
Audience member #3 -- Jackson: Uh, yeah, my name is Jackson and I just wanted to ask Michael why he is such a little pansy. It seems like every week on Rapture, there he is laying on the ground getting beat up. I’m getting tired of it man. You’re embarrassing Cincinnati. Grow a set and defend yourself.
(The atmosphere inside the boathouse grows tense as Michael takes a deep breath.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well sir, you are entitled to your opinion; even if you do sound like an Elite puppet. You’re right about one thing…I have gotten beat up a lot lately. The Elite has done quite a number on me this year. But you know what, that’s going to come to an abrupt end at Wrestle Extravaganza. You say I’m a pansy? You say I’m embarrassing Cincinnati? Well this gold belt that I have here would say otherwise. You see, while Sickboy will stand there and SAY that he wants to be the greatest wrestler in Premium Championship Wrestling…I already am the greatest. While Sickboy will stand there and SAY that he wants to cement his legacy, I already have cemented mine. I am the most dominating PCW World Heavyweight and Platinum Champion in this history of this company and my dominance will only continue in Boston. Getting attacked over and over doesn’t make me a pansy…it only makes the Elite look like a bunch of thugs. I could sit here and claim to be a martyr but that’s not my style. I’m just going to kick Sickboy’s ass, like I did before, and continue being the epitome of true greatness. Now go back home to your mommy and daddy’s basement where you belong.
Tony: Ooooook…we have time for one more question for the champ.
Audience member #4 -- Zach: Michael, I’m Zach and I’m a huge Adrien Cochrane fan. What do you think of him?
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Well Zach, Cochrane has a lot of talent. He is my pick to win the PCW Platinum Championship at Wrestle Extravaganza and he seems well on his way to doing big things in Premium Championship Wrestling. I would caution, however, that he is not the best thing to hit the planet since sliced bread. It seems like everyone can’t stop gushing about the kid. But let’s hold off on the proclamation that he is the second-coming of Jesus Christ, shall we? While I think he is good, he couldn’t beat Monroe and he couldn’t beat the guy who I WILL beat at Wrestle Extravaganza, Sickboy. This is a big opportunity for him in Boston and we’ll see if he can handle the pressure. We’ll meet somewhere down the line, with the PCW World Heavyweight Championship likely on the line, and just like with Lonewolf, I’ll have to show all the fans who the real talent is in Premium Championship Wrestling. Although everyone like to play with the new toy and give it all the attention, that doesn’t mean it’s better. After a couple minutes, they put that new toy aside and go back to playing with the one that has always given them happiness and joy. I am that existing toy. I have brought true greatness to this company since day one and I will continue to do so until the day I retire. Cochrane hasn’t even come close to the impact that I’ve made and I’m not sure that he ever will.
Tony: Alright Michael, we have to take a commercial break but any final thoughts before we let you go?
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: My final thoughts are that I’m ready to go. The Elite, and Sickboy in particular, seem to think that they are so much better than me just because they can attack me from behind when I’m not looking. For some odd reason, that gives them the idea that I’m weak and easy pickings. That’s simply not the case. At Wrestle Extravaganza, there will be no more sneak attacking. Sickboy won’t be able to hit me from behind. He’ll have to look at me right in the eyes when that bell rings. And just like Cataclysm, I’m going to prove that when you have to look Michael Morrison right in the eyes, the ending doesn’t work out in your favor. I am the PCW World Heavyweight Champion and I am that for a simple reason…I am true greatness. Sickboy has gotten the advantage on me just about every week…but at the end of the day, I’ll get the ultimate revenge…and that is my hand raised high in the air. Now I’m hungry so if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to dive in to some ribs!
Tony: Sounds good, Michael, and good luck on Saturday! We have to take a quick break but we’ll be back with more “Tony Talks” right here on 1490 WCIN!
(Michael shakes Tony’s hand and walks off the set. After sitting down and enjoying a rack of ribs, Morrison headed back to Great American Ball Park. He was promised a tour of the facility and since it was a day game, the tour was scheduled for the evening. Once arriving there, he got to check out everything like the dressing rooms, broadcast booths and workout rooms. The final leg of the tour was on the field and they turned him loose to just walk around and enjoy the scenery. The grounds crew was still working on the field but they didn’t seem to mind Morrison there. As the PCW World Heavyweight Champion began walking down the first base line, he pulled a piece of paper out of his back pocket and smiled.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: I have a few dates scribbled on this piece of paper that I find pretty interesting. The first is June 9th. The second is June 23rd. The third is August 4th. What do these dates have in common, you might be asking yourself? Well these three dates are times when I have been attacked by Sickboy and the Elite. June 9th and August 4th were episodes of Rapture. June 23rd was Slamathon. Those are times when Curtis thought that the only way he could get ahead of me was by waiting until I had competed in a grueling match and then attacking me from behind. They laid me out, sure. I mean, it’s not like trying to fight off a group of toddlers. These are grown men we are talking about here. And this isn’t even mentioning the times that the Elite attacked me in 2011 before Cataclysm. So you see, I seem to be quite a target for the Elite. They appear to be obsessed on taking me out of the game permanently. Gee, I wonder why that could be?
(Morrison smirks as he approaches first base.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: You know Curtis, there was a time where I had respect for you. There was a time when I truly felt like you were one of the good ones. Now sure, we weren’t going to be best friends and I had no desire to hang out with you but I respected what you brought to the table. While clowns like Yoshiru Long ran roughshod over Premium Championship Wrestling, you quietly went about your business. Much like yours truly, you made statements in the ring. You would show up against an opponent and more times than not, you picked up the win. Sure, much like myself, there was trash-talk involved, but that wasn’t the focus. The focus was on winning matches. But that all changed when you joined the Elite. That all changed when you made your bed with Long. You went from being a good wrestler to becoming a coward and a goon. Instead of showing people what you brought to the table in the ring, you resorted to cheap shots and shortcuts. Rather than concentrating on goals like winning, and KEEPING, championships, you took pleasure in leaving people in a bloody heap in the ring. Short-term gain? Sure. Did it make an impact? Perhaps. Does that make you one of the greatest ever? Not a chance.
(Michael approaches second base as he folds the piece of paper and places it back in his pocket.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Sickboy, you talk about your destiny and how it is to become the PCW World Heavyweight Champion. You talk about being on the road to cementing your legacy. You talk about how I’ve been living on borrowed time as PCW World Heavyweight Champion and you’re going to come in and take what is rightfully yours. And after hearing all of those statements, I ask myself one thing…how are you going to do that? Why, exactly, are you so confident? Are you so far removed from reality that you can’t even separate fact from fiction anymore? Because you see, I think it has gotten to the point where you are living in a fantasy world. You are so wrapped in being part of the Elite, and shouting “I’m better than you” wherever you go, that you don’t even know what’s what anymore. The truth of the matter is that the results for the Elite are nothing more than Fool’s Gold.
To the common fan, the Elite are mighty and powerful. Everywhere they go, destruction lays in their wake. But let’s dig a little deeper. Let’s get to the root of all the “power” and “destruction.” When you strip away the surface and get to the heart of the matter, all you’ll find is a group of cowards. When you get to the heart of the matter, all you’ll find is a group of men who always take the easy way out. You look and look for the quickest way to get from point A to point B and that’s the way you go. It’s not a bad strategy but simply put, we have to call a spade, a spade. You see Sickboy, you, Long, and the rest of the planet who are apparently members of the Elite want everyone to think you’re the best. You said so yourself in your promo. You want to be the greatest wrestler in Premium Championship Wrestling. You want to be known as the best who has ever competed. But what the hell have you ever done? I mean, let’s face facts…when you look at the numbers, what have you ever done to even be considered the greatest? You had a short run as PCW Platinum Champion and you had an even shorter run as PCW World Heavyweight Champion. In fact, you didn’t even make it a month with the big belt. Are you kidding me? Sickboy, in professional wrestling, it’s all about championships. You can cheap shot people until you’re blue in the face but at the end of the day, people look at how you did when everything was on the line. And you, my friend, have failed miserably in that category.
Since you’ve joined the Elite, you have done absolutely nothing of relevance. Attacking someone once to make a point is fine. Attacking people over and over again makes you look weak and desperate. And Curtis, you are a desperate man.
(Morrison laughs as he approaches third base.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Curtis, I’ve never seen anyone grasp at straws like you. I’ve never seen anyone who has tried harder to get people to accept someone than you are right now. You are begging people to accept the Elite as a major force. You are begging people to accept you as the biggest threat in Premium Championship Wrestling. And you know what Sickboy…for all of your begging and pleading…it simply isn’t going to pay off. You see, you’ll say or do anything to cut me down. You’ll attack me from behind every week. You’ll spew garbage about how I’ve been ducking you since day one and James Baker had to intervene on your behalf. But do me a favor Sickboy and come back from dreamland for just a minute. You can go back to living in your fantasy world but hear me out for one second. You see, since day one when Premium Championship Wrestling reopened its doors, I’ve said that I was willing to face you. Not once did I say I wouldn’t. Now sure, I might not have focused on you 100% but that’s only because you were RETIRED. Why the hell should I care about someone who wasn’t on the active roster? But that just gnawed at you, didn’t it? While I was out in the ring winning matches, you were sitting on your ass in a bar. While I was competing at the highest level, you were watching me on television. And you couldn’t stand that, could you? Heaven forbid that Michael Morrison wasn’t talking about Sickboy non-stop, even though he wasn’t around. How DARE he not talk about me and beg me to come back and wrestle? That was your thinking, wasn’t it Curtis? I offended you by not acknowledging you. So you concocted some half-ass plan by bringing the Elite back and just hoped that everyone would bow at your feet. And since they haven‘t, you’ve snapped and it’s pathetic.
I don’t know Curtis, maybe you didn’t get enough love from mommy or daddy when you were a child. Maybe you’re just starved for attention and can’t accept when someone is better than you. I don’t really know the reason and I don’t really care. But the fact of the matter is simple…I have put up with your fantasy long enough. I have let you attack me and lay me out far too many times but I did so because of the greater good. You are like that child who is a little hyper but as long as they’re not destructive, mommy and daddy looks the other way. Well Sickboy, I looked the other way because I was focused on my PCW World Heavyweight Championship. I was focused on Lonewolf and for that, I let you play your little games. But that comes to an end at Wrestle Extravaganza. In Boston, it’s your turn to try and take this belt away from me and that means you must face me man-to-man. Do you think you can handle that? It doesn’t seem to be in your DNA to fight without your cronies so you’re not going to be in your environment, are you?
(Morrison smirks as he touches home plate.)
“True Greatness” Michael Morrison: Sickboy, I challenge you to leave the Elite out of this. I challenge you to make this a one-on-one fight. Do you have what it takes to step up and be a man? Do you have what it takes to fight me on your own and when we’re on equal ground? My guess to those questions would be no. And I say that because you know that I’m better than you. Despite all the garbage that you spew, you know that mano-y-mano, Michael Morrison is better than Sickboy. Just go back and watch the tape at Cataclysm. Now I know you’ll roll your eyes and harp that we’ve only faced that one time but Curtis, that’s all the evidence I have and need. You’ve attacked me on numerous occasions and left me in a bloody heap. Yet, the one time we had a fair fight, I beat you. Coincidence? I don’t think so. I think it just proves that in the squared circle, I have more talent. I am the epitome of true greatness, after all.
Sickboy, you might not believe this, but I enjoy defending my PCW World Heavyweight Championship. You like to say that I’m not a fighting champion but nothing is more exciting then when that adrenaline gets going. And you add that on top of my hatred for you and I think that makes a deadly combination. Curtis, you would make a fine politician with all the crap that comes out of your mouth. Facts and truths, be damned, but you certainly know how to spin a tale. And you know what, there might be some out there who have bought into your crap hook, line and sinker. Hell, more times than not, the final image of a Rapture has been Sickboy standing over a bloody and unconscious Michael Morrison. But this is different and you know it. This is Michael Morrison at the top of his game and that scares the shit out of you, doesn’t it? Sickboy, I have no doubt that you’ll cement your legacy at Wrestle Extravaganza. I have no doubt that the fans will have a true sense of who you are when the night is over. They’ll simply know that you are a man who can only get ahead by shortcuts and cheap shots. I, however, will have my legacy cemented too. And that is as the longest reigning World Champion in Premium Championship Wrestling history. That has a pretty nice ring to it, huh? Yeah, I thought so. I’ll see you on Saturday, Sickboy, where the time for attacks and excuses are over. Hear this and hear very clearly because this is all that needs to be said…I am true greatness…and you’re NOT!
(Michael laughs as we walks off the Great American Ball Park field. The scene fades to black.)
