The scene opens to what looks to be a rather crowded scene outside of a movie theatre in the heart of the American film industry’s nexus, Hollywood. Outside of the theatre on the sidewalk, in the center of the throng of anxious filmgoers sits a red carpet for the most famous and influential of those who have tickets to make their grandiose, much photographed entrances. All of a sudden, a white limo pulls up, but this limo is distinct from any of the others that have pulled up all night. Emblazoned on the hood is a very grotesque looking crucifix. Said crucifix depicts the corpse of the Savior Jesus Christ in very bloody and graphic fashion. This limo pulls to a stop and the back door opens. Out of it steps the reigning PCW Platinum Champion “The Evangelist” Jerry Matthews accompanied by Deacon Jeremiah. Matthews is wearing a white suit and black shirt, while Jeremiah is wearing a black and white combo that directly contrasts. As they get out of the limo, the throng of movie buffs silences. It is clear to them that this is a man that isn’t here to partake in watching the film, and that he usually doesn’t make these types of appearances.
Matthews gives the crowd a good once over, and then spits on the ground at his feet. He then addresses the massive crowd.
Matthews: Brothers and sisters in Christ, “The Evangelist” has finally made his long awaited appearance to Hollywood, the seat of the movie industry. And let me be the first to tell you, you’d be hard pressed to find an area responsible for causing more moral debauchery than here.
Each and every year, more and more filmmakers from major motion picture studios write scripts for the movies that all end up being produced and shown to tens and hundreds of millions of people. Seemingly, with each passing second, the content of these films shows increasingly more amounts of violence, sex, and other controversial content that further ensures the eventual doom of humanity.
It’s clear that I am not welcome here tonight, but I felt the need to make the appearance nevertheless. I am here to leave you with the simple message that the Lord thy God cares for you, and will gladly welcome you into his house with open arms if you simply repent and realize the errors of your ways, and take up the cross as his son did two millennia ago.
None embody the awful nature of this lifestyle more than the THW Honor Champion Marina Valdivia. It’s no secret that Marina once spurned an offer from an executive from Warner Brothers studios for a lucrative film career in order to pursue a career in professional wrestling. While she might have originally had noble intentions to spend more time with her family, her aspirations for massive amounts of attention and stardom caused her to succumb to the unholy way of the devil himself. Sure, she has won countless matches and titles over the course of her career, but she sold her soul in order to do so. Sure, she may be the greatest female performer in the history of professional wrestling, and she has any number of title belts in her trophy case, but there is one belt that she will not have the pleasure of acquiring.
That, of course, would be my Platinum Championship. For four long months, I toiled against the likes of Adrien Cochrane, Jose Fernandez, and the bedeviled Satanist Draven Logan Kennedy before I finally achieved my ultimate goal. On the edition of Rapture that immediately followed my title win at Struggle for Power III, I held a ceremony that was meant to commemorate the dawn of what would go down as the most storied reign in the history of that legendary belt. Marina Valdivia had the nerve to interrupt me on that night, and the thought has caused me great anger ever since. I even took it upon myself to go out of my way and assist Jay Thunder in his quest to take her Honor Championship away from her. Alas, I failed and came up short, mostly due to Thunder’s incompetence.
When I spoke those words all those months ago, I meant everything that I said. My time as the Platinum Champion is not yet meant to end. It is through the everlasting grace of God that I have come to hold this title, and I have not fulfilled my ultimate purpose as Platinum Champion yet. So, Marina, when you walk down that aisle this Saturday at WrestleExtravangza, none of your career’s storied history will mean a thing. There will only be you and I, locked in a battle of wills. And you should prepare yourself, because I would die first before I lose this title to the likes of you, long before I deem it worthy to cast aside. You will not succeed, and that is a guarantee.
With that, Matthews and Jeremiah both cross themselves, and then get back into the limo, which then pulls away. After a few short moments, the crowd attending the movie premiere go back about their business, as if these events hadn’t even transpired and the scene fades to black.
