OOC: I wanted to thank everyone who allowed their characters to make a cameo in this RP and contributed to something I hope becomes a very special RP for everyone to remember, including Heather.
-----------------------lines--------------
Clip of a very young Heather Monroe warming up in the ring. A narrator begins to speak in a voice eerily similar to Adrien’s.
Narrator: “Heather Tyler, better known as Heather Monroe, began her illustrious wrestling career back in 2008. At first, everyone just saw the small 17 year old from Iowa as a manager until she signed a contract with Bloodstone Wrestling Federation.”
Clips of Heather Monroe’s big championship match against Kasey. The video goes to Adrien sitting on a stool in the middle of a gray room with his name and “Current PCW World Heavyweight Champion” under it.
Adrien: “BWF and DWA gave her the start she wanted but it wasn’t until Heather came to PCW was she able to polish up her ring abilities and really push to become something. Part of me believes it was the competition here that made her want it more. When she first debuted, you had Mariano Fernandez, Leon Lonewolf, Danielle Lopez, and many more that made her push herself to become even better. And instead of crumbling to the competition, Heather strived.”
Same gray room and same stool, but this time, sitting on it is Richelle Ross with “Former PCW manager” written underneath her name on the screen.
Richelle: “One of the first things that strike out to me is what Heather did immediately after joining PCW.”
Video starts playing of the second ever Scars of Wrestling Cup, though called the Scars of Eagle Cup back then. Once the match was over, the clip shows Heather Monroe with her arms held high.
Richelle: “She went into the match as a small, female wrestler with not a whole lot of experience into that match against four men and managed to pull off her first of three victories in the cup.”
Adrien: “I’m surprised we haven’t named the Cup after her yet. She’s beaten Bob Osbourne, Osiris, and even me in that match. The fact she is the only one to have ever won it twice, much less three times, shows just how much she completely strives in that match.
Clips of the other two Cup victories starts playing as Adrien continues talking, ending with Heather Monroe pinning a then-rising star Adrien Cochrane.
Adrien: “And part of me believes it’s because of what’s on the line on that match. Heather is the type of person who wants to make the best out of every opportunity she gets. With title shots on the line, she always finds a way to get it done.”
Narrator: “Perhaps one of the most impressive things Heather Monroe has done was how many lives in PCW she touched.”
Mariano Fernandez. Former PCW World Heavyweight Champion and PCW Hall of Famer.
Mariano: "I recall Heather Monroe already being in PCW by the time I arrived. She was even then known as "The Class Act" and wowed fans with her high-flying abilities. She was mostly quiet, kept herself to herself, but she could go toe-to-toe with the best of them, winning the Scars of Wrestling Cup qualifying matches.”
Heather Monroe is shown tagging with Mariano against the Kennedys with the former team getting the victory.
Mariano: “The downside is that she and I didn't cross paths too many times, as she was competing for the Broadcast, and then Platinum titles when I was fighting for, and then becoming, World Champion. But we did have a match with her as my tag team partner, against Draven Logan Kennedy and his girlfriend Alice. This match was in my own hometown of Buenos Aires, and in no small part thanks to her efforts we were able to win.”
Leon Lonewolf. Former PCW World Heavyweight Champion and PCW Hall of Famer.
Leon: “I remember her when she first broke into this business. She was a breakout version of Danielle Lopez. The first match I saw her in PCW, I knew she would come out on top. I mean, look at my matches with her. We shared our wins and losses against each other. We even fought for the Broadcast title. Now she finally got taste of the World title picture. I can't lie and say I am not proud of her. It's a shame she is retiring. I'm glad she became a member of the Hall of Fame before she could retire. As a rival...and a true friend...I congratulate her on all her accomplishments.”
Mariano: “There's one thing to be sure, Heather Monroe has always been a PCW constant mainstay, and her loyalty after all the fed has been through has earned her a place in the annals of PCW history. After all, that is one of the reasons why she is in the Hall of Fame."
Adrien: “Heather is a flat out winner. She has the most victories in PCW history. And she doesn’t settle for just picking up a win. She wants to impress with her wins. She wants to make sure that people don’t question if she got lucky or it was a fluke. And she doesn’t do it in a selfish way. She wants to make sure people know that if she comes out on top, she earned it, and if she doesn’t, she gave it all she had.”
Danielle Lopez. Former PCW Broadcast Champion and PCW Hall of Famer.
Danielle: “Heather Monroe. It's no secret how I feel about her. She's a great competitor. One of the greatest in the history of this company. She's done damn near everything there is to do here. She, myself and Talia Skye are the original three women of Premium Championship Wrestling. The greatest matches of my career came against Heather and we were the ones who legitimized the Broadcast division. Whether it was her defending the gold against me at Struggle for Power II, our hellacious cage match we had at Super Clash where I began the longest reigning Broadcast Championship reign in PCW history, the rematch at Shellshock, the tag team match Talia and I had against her and Heather Mackenzie a week before Slamathon II in what was the first ever all women main event match in PCW history, or even our match at Anarchy four months ago. No matter what the stipulations were, whether there was gold on the line or not, we always put on a show and we left an impression on everybody watching.”
Danielle Lopez and Heather Monroe battle it out one last time at Anarchy with the winner getting a shot at the World Title later that night.
Danielle: “Heather is somebody I have all the respect and admiration in the world for. She never quits, she's always willing to fight for what's right and she's always determined to go out there, bust her ass and take home the win. She's the type of person a lot of young girls out there should look up to. She's never claimed perfection, she's always had the odds stacked against her, but she made a career out of proving the doubters wrong and that was damn evident at Anarchy when she won the PCW World title.”
Desiree Miles. PCW play-by-play commentator.
Desiree: “I would say the greatest Heather moment I got to witness was when she beat Yoshiru, Curtis and Syn in that Hell in a Cell to become the PCW World Heavyweight Champion. Nobody in their mind predicted that would happen. She and Danielle earlier in the night fought to be Morrison's replacement and Heather won and she carried it towards the title. From calling every single moment in PCW's history. I can safely say that Heather winning that night at Anarchy was the greatest moment I ever called because it was such a feel good story to see her finally reaching the top of the mountain after working her way up from the bottom. And whether she wins or loses at Wrestle Extravaganza III. She will go out in the highest of moment and I'll make sure to call that match as great as I can.”
The highlights of the Hell in a Cell match start playing with Heather Monroe pinning Syn at the end.
Adrien: “The night she won the PCW World Championship took the entire company by surprise. Syn was rising very fast in the ranks. The Elite looked like they were getting back in the swing of things. And then suddenly, Heather entered that match against her former allies and left them completely dumbfounded when she walked out with the belt. In a match where the fans seemed like they had no one to cheer for, Heather gave them just that. The underdog, the Class Act, the only one in that match who was fighting for honor and integrity and she quickly became all of that and so much more once she won. If anyone had any doubts on whether Heather Monroe had a great career, it was erased that night.”
Desiree: “When I think of Heather Monroe, you can't think of just one word to say. There are a few that fit perfectly. Heart, determination, successful, champion. The list goes on. A great competitor who night in and night out always gave you everything she had and then some. She left it all on the line each and every time she competed. I can't think of one bad Heather Monroe match and I am fortunate enough to have called them all.”
Mariah Lopez. Current PCW Star.
Mariah: “Although I haven't known Heather as long as some, I have heard about her through Danielle who has faced her on numerous occasions. When I got to face her on the September 1st edition of Rapture. I was highly nervous because this was my first major match in the company and Heather's track record spoke for itself.”
The match between Mariah and Heather from Rapture on September 1st, 2012 starts playing as Mariah continues speaking.
Mariah: “I was in complete awe of her as she was one of my favorites from the very first run of PCW and she can flat out go in there. I learned that when that bell rang. She is one of the most phenomenal workers and she's such a humble human being at the same time. I will never forget the conversations we had both before and after the match. Such a sweet person and I can see why my cousin always speaks in high regard about her. Whether there are those who like it or not, she helped pave the way for people like me and I am forever grateful for that. She's going to be missed majorly.”
Aurora Rose. Current PCW Star.
Aurora: “While I’ve never been in the ring with Heather, I’ve been around Adrien long enough to know just how much a competitor she is. The first thing that I remember seeing when I first saw her compete, it was just how much she gives in the ring. She never goes into the ring and gives ninety-nine percent. She always gives it the full hundred. She was one of the women who paved the way for female wrestlers in PCW.”
Chris Marks. Current PCW Star.
Chris: “What the fuck do you want me to say? I mean, yeah, she could kick my ass up and down the fuckin’ ring. I wouldn’t want to face her. But the fact that she pushes Adrien to the limit so fuckin’ much, someone I’ve known for over five years by the way, that just tells you what she’s fuckin’ fierce. I’m talkin’ tigers come in and start roarin’ and shit and suddenly Heather comes in on the opposite direction and you’re wanting to take a risk with the damn tigers.”
Every other person from the documentary is shown giving Chris Marks a “What the hell was that?” look.
Chris: “Fuck, you guys should have known better than to get me on this fuckin’ thing.”
Narrator: “Well then…moving on…”
Talia Skye. PCW Hall of Famer.
Talia: “Heather Monroe and I have had our wars and I can tell you she's one of the best in this business. Her skill in the ring is astounding even to me. Heather is the kind of person that whether you love her or hate her, whether she's hashtag heel or face, you respect her because you know she puts everything she has into each and every match. Heather Monroe was one of the original three women to make a name for themselves in PCW. She set a standard for women in this company. She paved the way for names like Mariah Lopez, Rachel Robinson, and Mya Denton. She proved that women can do anything they set their minds to. I am sad to see her go, but I am honoured to have fought alongside and against such a talented, passionate human being. I love the girl! I want to see her kick some ass and tear down the roof at Wrestle Extravaganza! Win or she has the respect of everyone in the back, and every member of the PCW Universe.”
PCW Owner Terrell Ryder.
Ryder: “Terrell Ryder: I remember being at home when I saw Heather appear on PCW TV for the very first time in the second edition of the Scars of Wrestling Cup. She did some wicked things in that match and she stood toe to toe with some pretty good competitors. But I think for me, the first time I was really impressed was Pyramid Battle. She went down to the final four before being eliminated by Sickboy, but that night, she proved that she could go toe to toe with the best this company had to offer. Another moment that she really shined in was her series of matches with Danielle Lopez. Two women who are very similar in styles and how they conducted themselves and they worked it like magic. I have not seen a women's rivalry be that damn good since. It was always a treat to watch them work in the ring whether Heather was a face or a heel. Heather Monroe has earned every accolade she's had and she's done damn good in PCW. One of the greatest of all time and I am proud to not only call her an employee, but also proud that she is a member of the PCW Hall of Fame.”
A few clips from a few random matches start playing as Ryder speaks: the championship match against Adrien, her Rapture match against Jay Thunder, etc.
James Baker. PCW General Manager and Hall of Famer.
Baker: “One of the greatest things about Heather Monroe is her professionalism. She's the consummate pro when it comes to anything PCW related. She's really cool, down to earth, highly respectful and she's about going out there, kicking some ass and putting on a show for the people. She's one of the best people when it comes to caring about the fans. She's always cool at live events and fan interactions. She's one of the most requested stars to meet and it's not hard to see why either. Fans just eat anything up when it comes to her. She's highly popular and add to her success... no doubt in my mind that she is one of the all-time greats in Premium Championship Wrestling.”
Video plays of Damon and Baker taking on the Heathers.
Baker: “I can say that I have had the opportunity of working against Heather Monroe on two occasions. First one being when she just became the Broadcast Champion for the very first time. Her and I battled for the belt at Alma Mater Diem on October 24th, 2010 and we put on one of the best matches in what was otherwise a really really shitty show. We tore it down and I knew right then and there that she was gonna be a mainstay in this company. I also knew that she had what it took to get to the main level, she just needed to work more to get there. The second encounter happened during what was the final night of PCW's first run. It was Damon Warrens and myself against Heather Monroe and her friend Heather Mackenzie. We tore it down on an emotional night. One of the greatest tag team matches you will ever see in the history of this company and it was pretty sweet.”
Adrien: “While it may not be the most prestigious match I’ve ever been in because there was no championships on the line and it was only on Rapture, but my favorite match that I’ve been in since joining PCW was when me and Heather were facing The Elite.”
Clips from that match start playing as the documentary starts to come a close.
Adrien: “Win or lose, to be her final opponent will be nothing short of a magical moment. And when the ending bell sounds, whether or not I’m still Champion, you know I’m going to give her a hug and let the confetti come down to celebrate one of the greatest careers we’ve seen by someone who is still so young and still has so much potential to become great at whatever she does next.”
---------------------------------
“Come on! Tell me what the surprise is!”
The pleas from Adrianna Rivers only get a chuckle from Adrien Cochrane for a reply.
Adrien: “You have to wait til tomorrow. Valentine’s Day surprises aren’t for February 13th, dear.”
The couple are standing on Adrien’s newly finished backyard patio. The new addition to Adrien’s backyard came complete with a round table with an umbrella over it. The wooden table has six matching chairs tucked underneath it. There are two benches along the wall of Adrien’s house on opposite sides of the back door that leads right back into Adrien’s kitchen. And of course, what’s a backyard patio without a barbeque grill.
Adrianna: “But you promise I’m going to love it?”
Adrien gives a big wide grin.
Adrien: “Well, you loved the surprise I had for you on New Year’s, didn’t you?
Adrianna’s cheeks get red.
Chris: “So when you two are done being all gushy and shit, do you mind if you actually cooked lunch for once? I’m fuckin’ starvin’, asshole!”
Michael: “Chris, stop being a jerk. Let them have their alone time.”
Chris: “They can have all the fuckin’ alone time they want after I get food.”
Adrien rolls his eyes as the two return to the kitchen. Chris Marks, the man in the company who has known Adrien the longest, has taken his seat at the dining table already, spoon and fork in hand, and impatiently awaiting for food. On the flip side, the member of Adrien’s friends who has known him the shortest, Michael Alexander, was leaning on the kitchen counter.
Michael: “Got the oven preheating for you, Ade.”
Adrien: “Thanks, Michael. And glad you could make it. Does anyone know where Aurora is?”
Chris: “She went to go get the mail.”
Adrien nods. He is dressed in a white polo with a few blue stripes going across and a pair of blue jeans. Alexander was wearing a pair of blue jeans himself with a white t-shirt underneath a black woven button up shirt. His aviator sunglasses are hanging on the front color of his shirt. Chris Marks was easily the most sloppily dressed with his ripped cargo shorts and a faded black t-shirt. Adrianna easily contrasts them all with a yellow casual dress. Aurora Rose runs into the kitchen with her white tanktop and jean miniskirt, but the part of her appearance that is most obvious is the expression of panic across her face.
Chris: “Damn, Aurora. You look like you found a ghost or something.”
Adrien: “Anything good in the mail, Aurora? We’re about to eat lu…”
Aurora: “HE’S OUTSIDE!!”
Adrien drops the cookie sheet in his hands.
Adrien: “Calvin?”
Aurora Rose nods her head.
You have GOT to be kidding me…
Adrianna: “Who’s Calvin?”
Chris: “Long story short, he’s a perv who wants sexy time with Aurora here.”
Aurora Rose and Adrien Cochrane both shoot Chris Marks a dirty look.
Aurora: “What am I going to do? He looked determined to get to me, whether he has to get through this house or not.”
Adrien takes a deep breath.
Adrien: “Don’t panic, Aurora. I’ve got a plan.”
Adrien turns to his girlfriend.
Adrien: “There’s a panic room behind the bookshelf in my office. There’s a phone and video cameras in there. Take Aurora in there, lock the door, call the police. Don’t open it until you actually see me by the door telling you it’s safe. The three of us will take care of Calvin outside. You ready guys?”
Michael Alexander immediately stands upright and even Chris Marks springs out of his chair and both men start heading out the front door to confront Calvin. Adrianna quickly wraps her arms around Adrien.
Adrianna: “Please be careful. Love you…”
Quick kiss.
Adrien: “Love you too. I promise I’ll be careful. Stay safe in there and don’t come out unless you see me give an all clear.”
Adrianna rushes upstairs with Aurora Rose as Adrien follows Alexander and Marks. It’s not too hard to spot Calvin, sitting on the curb right across the road from Adrien’s house. He was exactly hiding, facing Adrien’s house. Next to the man, in his left hand, was a large two-by-four. Calvin doesn’t look like he’s been doing very well, raggedy clothes and an unkempt beard that makes Chris Marks look formal.
Chris: “Looks like he brought company with him this time.”
Adrien: “He should have brought more.”
The three men walk down the stairs to Adrien’s front yard.
Adrien: “Calvin. What are you doing here?”
Calvin doesn’t immediately answer. He just sits on the curb, staring at his weapon.
Calvin: “Do you plan on stopping me, Adrien Cochrane?”
Adrien: “I do. And so do these two.”
Michael keeps a cold stare at Calvin. Chris cracks his knuckles.
Calvin: “You know what I’m doing here.”
Adrien: “Well, you’re violating your restraining order. The police has been called. And once you cross that little road, you’ll be trespassing. And something tells me you’re not using that thing in your hand for architectural purposes.”
Calvin stands up. The three men get in a ready stance. Calvin starts giving a sick smile as he speaks once more.
Calvin: “You can’t keep her from me forever.”
He starts pointing at them as he staggers forward a bit.
Calvin: “Just like your precious late fiancée, you won’t be able to hold me off forever. And I think today will be my lucky day!”
He swings for Adrien’s head, who quickly ducks and tackles. Calvin gets back to his feet pretty quickly and swings his board again, but Chris Marks catches the board and allows Michael Alexander to kick Calvin in the ribs. Adrien gets back up, sweeps Calvin’s legs and restrains his arms as Chris Marks has the legs.
Adrien: “We got him. Michael, get that board out of here. Got him secured, Chris?”
Chris: “This asshole ain’t goin’ fuckin’ nowhere.”
Calvin begins to start laughing.
Calvin: “Trespassing and restraining order violation isn’t going to keep me locked up forever. I will be back.”
Adrien: “And I’ll be ready to do this again. You’re got getting anywhere near Aurora as long as I’m breathing.”
The laughter continues as Adrien can hear faint sirens in the distance. At the very least, Aurora can sleep peacefully for a month.
