Saturday, February 2nd: U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati, Ohio
The camera fades in to see Michelle Silva standing backstage with Liam Reilly, who is wearing a #RedeemPCW t-shirt and looks freshly showered. He nonchalantly rolls his neck around, allowing the bones and cartilage to crack and crunch into place. As he does this Michelle Silva looks into the camera and begins to speak.
Michelle: "Hello there PCW fans around the world, I'm Michelle Silva and I'm here for a PCW.com exclusive interview with Liam Reilly of 'Order and Chaos'. Now, Liam, tonight you and Damon Warrens picked up a big win over DNA, is this the start of your rise to the top of PCW?"
Liam turns to Michelle with an apathetic stare and sighs before responding.
Liam: "Michelle, I'm a former PCW Platinum Champion. Damon Warrens is a former PCW Brawl Champion and a PCW Hall of Famer. We're not on a rise to the top, we're already AT the top. So instead of asking me your insipid questions, why don't you go off and complete your STD collection. Given that we're in Cincinnati, it shouldn't take you long. Now, shoo!"
Michelle looks aghast and insulted, staring at Liam in disbelief. After a few seconds, she turns on her heel and storms off. The cameraman moves to follower her, aiming away from Liam.
Liam: "Whoa, whoa, whoa there flyboy, hold your horses. I still have use for you. Aim your camera at my face and stand there until I'm done talking, then you can follow the fleabag to whichever crack alley she's going to be chugging dick down tonight".
The cameraman checks himself and returns his focus to Liam, who cracks his knuckles before addressing the camera.
Liam: "So it seems James Baker couldn't help but take some time out of his day to talk about me and my good friend, Damon Warrens. Of course, when I say talk, I mean lie outrageously about us. Now James, usually I don't appreciate people spreading so much bullshit about me and my friends, but in your case I'm willing to make an exception, because it just proves how desperate you are, and it does nothing except put more bullets in my guns to take you down. Desiree Miles described your little speech as a bomb, and boy was she right. Everything you said completely bombed".
Liam smirks and rubs his hands together as he recollects the various points that the PCW GM brought up about Order and Chaos on Rapture, earlier in the evening.
Liam: "First off, all these people I'm apparently so jealous of because they've had success in this company while I was in my self-imposed exile...You think I'm jealous of Smith Jones' success? Smith Jones, who called me a role model? You think I begrudge him anything? Are you insane, or just stupid? You think I'm jealous that Ryan Robinson, one of my best friends in this company, is making a name for himself? The same Ryan Robinson who has publicly stated that I've been one of his most vocal supporters during his time in PCW? You think I'm jealous that Adrien Cochrane is World Champion? The same Adrien Cochrane who I've repeatedly said is a damn fine champion? Now I don't blame you for not noticing these things James, because it's hard to see what's going on it the world with your head so far up your own arse. But in all seriousness, from one man to another, if you want people to take you seriously, maybe you should stop going around telling people that 2+2=5".
Liam chuckles inwardly and shakes his head, both in disbelief at the inaccuracy of James Baker's words and in amusement at how distorted he considers his boss' opinion to be.
Liam: "Then of course, we have your claims about your amazing scouting prowess. Your amazing abilities, which allow you to find talents like Johnny Phantom, who you threaten with release after 2 matches, because he's not up to standard. Talents like Alex Cain, who was so bad he'll probably never make it onto another PCW card. I bet you're proud of yourself on for those two, aren't you James? REAL proud. And you call in to question MY scouting and business mind? The same business mind that helped run a multi-billion dollar investment company...I guess I should take more lessons from you in future and invest in dirt, before abandoning it after 5 minutes. Yeah, you're really stopping PCW from wallowing in mediocrity, aren't you big man?"
With this Liam throws his head back and laughs loudly, before letting out an amused sigh and continuing.
Liam: "But the stupidity doesn't stop there, does it James? Oh no, you mentioned a list of names who "worked hard" to move up the card in PCW. You claim they grafted, put in the hours in the ring. So remind me James...how many months was Marinia Valdivia in this company before she was given a Broadcast Title shot? Or should I say, how many minutes? How many matches had your friends Styles and Banks had in the past 6 months before they breezed in, asked for a Tag Title match and BOOM, they got one? And then remind me, how many months did I put in to this company, how many matches against pieces of shit like Jay Miller, Ricky Runn and Johnny Scumm did I go through, how much hard work did I give, to improve myself, work my way up the ladder and earn my Platinum title shot all those months ago? How do you think I went from a 2-4 Win/Loss Record, to 6-5 in the space of a few months? A fluke? I'm not asking for anything on a silver platter, James, and I'll give you $1,000,000 if you can prove that I ever have done. I know I put in the hard work, and I have no problem continuing to do so".
Now all the smiles and laughter have gone from Liam's face, which instead adopts a more serious look.
Liam: "Your lie filled Wall of Sound can only stretch so far before the truth that The New Era is expressing overcomes it and knocks it down. Because, while you have protected yourself from physical attacks by stating that you'll fire anyone who touches you 'Mr. Teflon', we can tear each and every word you say into pieces and show them up as the dog shit lies that they are, and there is nothing you can do about it but face the reality of your own misdirections".
Liam now walks forward towards the camera, staring unblinkingly into the lens and tilting his head to one side. As he speaks, he gradually becomes more out of focus as he gets closer to the camera.
Liam: "Do you feel the walls closing in James? Do you feel your defences weakening? Every week more soldiers fall and the ones you put in their place simply aren't good enough. The time of the old ways are drawing to an end. The New Era is coming...whether you like it, or not".
The camera goes completely out of focus and then simply fades out.

Monday, February 4th: Liam Reilly's house - Venice Beach, California.
Liam Reilly pulls up in his driveway in his red Audi R8, and stretches out inside his car. He grabs his overnight bag off of the passenger seat, opens his door, and steps out into the California morning. Looking around at the overcast conditions, he takes his sunglasses out of his hooded jacket and throws them inside the car, before shutting the door, locking the car, and walking up to the front door. Patting himself down, he finds what he was looking for and reaches into his jeans pocket, picking out a half empty packet of Natural American Spirit cigarettes. Taking one out, along with his lighter, he holds it between his lips before lighting it and returning the packet and lighter to his pocket and opening his front door. As he walks in, he sees that the light from the doorway is all that is illuminating the home, as none of the lights indoors are switched on. Liam takes a drag of his cigarette, before throwing his bag down and walking inside and shutting the door behind him.
Liam: "Dani!?!!"
Expecting a response from his girlfriend, but instead hearing nothing, Liam looks concernedly around his open plan living room, before going into the kitchen. Still unable to find her he begins to look panicked, puts his cigarette down, heads back to the hallway, and runs upstairs.
Liam: "Dani, are you home?...why the fuck did I just ask that...if she's not at home, how could she hear me...fucking dumbarse...DANI!!?!!?".
Cursing his own stupidity under his breath, Liam heads for the master bedroom previously occupied by Stevie Miller. Flinging the door open, he sees his girlfriend, PWW alumnus Danica Savage, fast asleep in their bed, facing the window. Liam lets out a huge sigh of relief and then takes a moment to look at his better half, which draws a beaming grin to his face.
Liam: "You're one lucky bastard, Reilly".
Liam walks next to the bed and kisses Dani on the head, which seems to stir her from her sleep. She looks up to see Liam standing before her, and she smiles before speaking somewhat drowsily.
Dani: "Oooh, hey darling. When did you get home?"
Liam can't help but smile at how cute Dani sounds when she's tired.
Liam: "You're so fucking adorable, do you know that? And I've been back long enough to get shit scared that you'd been kidnapped or something. How come you're still asleep? It's almost 11. You're normally working out by now".
Hearing of Liam's distress jolts Dani a bit more awake, and she sits up and looks at him with contrition.
Dani: "I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to scare you, I just thought I'd have a late morning 'til you got home".
Liam smiles a kind smile back at his girlfriend, and leans in to kiss her on the head again.
Liam: "Don't you worry, bub. You're safe, that's all that matters. Now get your cute butt downstairs and I'll make us some breakfast. Sound good?"
The suggestion incites a huge grin from Dani, and she climbs out of bed, giving Liam a quick peck on the lips as she walks past him.
Dani: "Sounds wonderful, darling. Don't keep me waiting though".
She giggles as she walks out of the door and heads and downstairs, leaving Liam to make the bed in her wake. He sets to work re-arranging the duvet and the pillows, content in his own thoughts, when suddenly he hears Dani cry out in fear.
Dani: "SHIT...OH MY GOD, LIAM...COME DOWN HERE QUICKLY!"
Wasting no time, Liam abandons the bed and sprints out the room, practically jumping down the whole staircase without touching a single step. He barges into the kitchen, to see a small fire raging on the counter top and Dani standing against the wall, not willing to approach the fire. Liam is frozen with fear, as full on terror sets in. Dani notices this, and cries out to attract his attention.
Dani: "LIAM! Don't just stand there! Do something!"
This seems to shake Liam out of his fear-induced trance, and he looks around before grabbing a dishcloth, turning the water tap on, and running the cloth under it. He then hurriedly throws the cloth over the fire, patting it a few times to be sure to extinguish the flame. Once he's satisfied it has completely gone out he lifts the cloth up, and spies the butt of his cigarette underneath it. Upon seeing it, he drops the cloth and puts his head in his hands. Dani notices this and walks over to him, putting her arm around his shoulder.
Dani: "It's ok, hon, it's over now".
Liam: "I know...but it's my fault. It was my cigarette that caused the fire. I was so distracted in trying to find you, that I put the cigarette down and completely forgot about it. I could've killed us both, because I got distracted and I took my eye off the ball. Fucking idiot".
Seeing that her boyfriend is getting worked up, Dani squeezes Liam in a tight hug and kisses him on the cheek.
Dani: "Calm down. You didn't mean to, we both know that, and we're fine now. You do seem to be getting distracted a lot lately though".
This statement brings a puzzled look to Liam's face.
Liam: "How so?"
Dani: "Well, with all this back and forth with James, have you even thought about your next opponents? You've got a big match coming up at Wrestle Extravaganza. It's only two weeks away, so you need to prepare yourself!"
Liam looks pensive, and then replies sheepishly.
Liam: "I don't actually know who Nathan and I are facing at Wrestle Extravaganza..."
Dani: "Exactly! All of your attempted one-upmanship with Baker has got you distracted from the next roadblock in front of you. If you spend too long looking at your goal, you're not going to notice the obstacles until you hit them!"
Liam sighs before nodding in agreement.
Dani: "Even if you had been paying attention, you've got another problem. You only have Dante Daevain as a confirmed opponent. His tag partner isn't going to be confirmed until much later...possibly only on the night itself. And I hate to tell you this baby but, if you react like you did to that fire, you're going to lose. You weren't prepared for something unexpected, you just panicked and froze. You've got to be ready for anything".
Liam clicks his tongue and nods again.
Liam: "Yeah, you're right. I need to focus...shame I chose to live in the busiest state in the country. I need to get away".
Inspiration strikes Dani at that point, and she smiles down at her boyfriend.
Dani: "Luckily, I have just the place for us to go. I hope you've got some clean clothes in that travel bag of yours, because I'm taking you home".
Liam looks confused at this statement, but halfway through his response he comes to a realisation, as to her intentions.
Liam: "Darling...we are ho...oh god...please tell me we're not going to Idaho..."
Dani: "Do you want to win your match?"
Liam: "...Yes".
At this, Dani bustles out of the kitchen and heads upstairs, shouting back down at Liam.
Dani: "Well then, Mr., get your bag and get the car started. I'll be out in 5 minutes".
Resigned to his fate, Liam slopes out of the kitchen and picks up another set of car keys, taking the R8 keys out of his pocket, and putting them on a table by the door.
Liam: "Fine, but we're taking your crappy pick-up. I'm not risking the Audi up there in Narnia".
Liam walks out the door, sighing at his situation and making a noise like a whip cracking.
Liam: "This is what your life has become Liam...you're officially pussywhipped..."

Wednesday February 6th: Payette National Forest, Idaho.
Liam Reilly and Danica Savage are walking through the forest, Dani leading the way, striding confidently, with Liam following behind, looking decidedly uncomfortable.
Liam: "Remind me again, why are we doing this?"
Dani responds without turning round.
Dani: "WE aren't doing anything. YOU'RE doing this because you need to focus, and Hawk is the best person I know to help you prepare for what's ahead".
Shivering in his jacket, Liam looks dejectedly at the ground as he continues to trudge half-heartedly behind his girlfriend. He lets out a loud, deliberate huff, at which Dani stops and turns around. Liam doesn't notice and nearly walks into her.
Dani: "Point proven. Now, you said you wanted to get away, I've got you away. So sack up and deal with it. This is going to work, but only if you stop being such a baby and give it a chance".
Liam nods, begrudgingly accepting that his girlfriend is right.
Liam: "I know...I'm sorry".
Giving her a conciliatory smile, he leans in to kiss her, but she merely puts her hand over his mouth and pushes her away.
Dani: "Not so fast, slick. You get nothing until we're done".
Dani turns on her heel, and beckons a bemused looking Liam to follow her. They walk on for several more miles before coming to a large cave, the opening of which is gated off. A sign on the gate reads 'No Trespassers'.
Dani: "Here we are. Go on in".
Liam looks at her in confusion, before turning and looking back at the sign.
Liam: "Ummm, I think that sign probably doesn't want me to go in, love".
Dani tuts and pushes Liam towards the gate.
Dani: "Don't be such a baby, Hawk knows me, it's fine".
Liam: "I'm sure he'll readily greet you to explain why he just kicked my arse, then".
Dani: "Fine, I'll go in first, wouldn't want the big nasty man to scare you baby!"
Dani sticks her tongue out at Liam, who rolls his eyes in response. She walks inside the cave and calls out to Hawk. They exchange a few words, which Liam can't quite make out, before she sticks her head out of the cave and beckons for Liam to follow her inside. He does so, taking a last quick look at the outside world, before stepping inside. The entrance to the cave is illuminated only by the daylight outside, and a few burning torches hanging on rudimentary brackets fitted to the stone walls. As Liam walks further into the cave, the light fades more and more until he is forced to squint to see in the near darkness of the ever narrowing passageway. He reaches his hands in front of him, trying to feel his way through the cave. Feeling unsafe in the darkness, he stops and decides to locate his girlfriend.
Liam: "DANI...WHERE ARE YOU?!?!"
Dani: "I'm just a bit further in the cave. Keep going, you've nearly made it".
Taking a deep breath, Liam pushes on. Gradually the passage starts getting brighter until, a few moments later, he finds himself standing in a much wider section of the cave, lit with a dozen more burning torches, as well as large lamp hanging in the middle of the clearing. A few logs are lying around on floor. Dani is standing underneath it next to a tall, muscular middle-aged man, who Liam rightly assumes to be Hawk. As Liam comes into view, Hawk gives him a decidedly unimpressed look, before speaking to Dani in a gruff, deep voice.
Hawk: "This is the guy? Doesn't look like much to me".
The insult draws a look of irritation from Liam, who then appeals to Dani for support. Fortunately for him, she notices and smiles at him.
Dani: "Give him a chance Hawk, he needs all the help he can get and you're the only person who is up to the job".
Dani's assertion that Liam 'needs all the help he can get' fails to ease Liam's irritation, and he huffs volubly again.
Liam: "Can one of you please tell me what's going on, and why I'm standing in the fucking Batcave with Grizzly Adams over here".
Hawk raises an eyebrow at Liam and gives him a half sincere chuckle.
Hawk: "Well you've got some spirit in you kid, that's something. Now young Danica here tells me you want me to teach you some survival techniques - how to focus, and how to deal with the unexpected. Is that correct?"
Liam hesitates for a moment, looking at Dani who nods her head in encouragement.
Liam: "...yeah, that's right".
With a nod, Hawk cracks his knuckles, which slightly worries Liam as to the methods his new teacher is going to employ. Hawk reaches into his pocket, pulling out a length of black fabric, which Liam recognises as a blindfold. This does nothing to calm him down, and he starts to back away as Hawk approaches him.
Liam: "What the fuck is that for?..."
Hawk shoots him a toothy, knowing smile.
Hawk: "Now if I tell you, that would stop it from being unexpected. Now you're just going to have to trust me, like your lady friend over there does".
Liam can't help but look over to his girlfriend, who nods and mouths the words 'Trust him'. Liam takes a deep breath, before stepping forward towards Hawk and nods.
Liam: "OK...do what you gotta do...I must be losing my mind".
Hawk wraps the blindfold around Liam's eyes, completely blinding him to his surroundings.
Liam: "I just want you to know, chuckles, I don't trust you at all. But Dani does, and I trust her...don't fuck that up".
Hawk takes Liam by the shoulders and guides him to the middle of the room. He spins him round a few times, before stopping him in place.
Hawk: "Now, concentrate hard kid. Clear your mind of distraction and you'll be fine. Lose your focus, it'll end badly".
Unsure as to what Hawk means, Liam nods anyway. Hawk stands beside Liam, and signals to Dani.
Dani: "Hey, love? You know how I said you'd get none of me til we're done? Well, if you do good here I'm going to take you back to the cabin and give you the time of your life as a reward".
Liam straightens up and grins.
Liam: "Really? Sounds awe...."
*THWACK*
As Liam starts to talk, Hawk stoops down and picks up one of the logs. He swings it round and hits Liam across the face with it, knocking him down on to the floor. Liam writhes on the ground, clutching his face.
Liam: "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!? DANI, WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!?!"
Hawk reaches down, grabs Liam by the scruff of his neck and hauls him onto his feet. He pulls the blindfold up from Liam's eyes and gives glares right at him.
Hawk: "I told you to focus, you little shithead. I'm not doing this for fun, so get your shit together, or I'll toss you out on your ass and you can go and fuck up on someone else's time".
Liam looks sheepishly back at his teacher and nods his head.
Liam: "I'm sorry. Can we try again?"
Hawk: "You're damn right we're trying again. But like I said, if you don't focus, I'm going to hit you again. Fuck up again after that, I'm knocking you out and kicking you back out into the forest. Got that?"
Liam simply nods. Hawk re-blindfolds him and spins him round again.
Hawk: "Now, to make it easier and give you something to focus on, lift one foot off the ground and balance on the other. Whatever is happening around you, ignore it and focus on the task at hand. Do not let that other foot touch the ground".
Liam follows the instructions and takes a few deep breaths. Hawk beckons Dani over to join them and, when she has done so, he nods at her and she starts whispering into Liam's ear. After a few seconds, she starts to run her hands down his body. Hawk looks at her, shaking his head, indicating that her current actions weren't what he had in mind, but the look on his face shows that he accepts her methods. Liam does his best to ignore both Dani's words and actions, but once she reaches her hand into his jeans, he can't help but take a step back. Realising quickly, that this will probably result in him being hit again, he lifts his blindfold and quickly takes a few more steps away from Hawk and his girlfriend.
Liam: "Don't you fucking hit me again. That shit is unfair!"
Contrary to his expectations, Liam sees that Hawk does not look angry, or even disappointed. Instead, the old man is nodding his head.
Hawk: "Not bad, definitely an improvement. Maybe there's hope for you yet. Seeing as your focus is improving, let's see how you handle dealing with things you're not prepared for. Stand against that wall, and put your blindfold back on. Then, make your way across to the other side...and remember, keep your wits about you and you'll see that dealing with the unexpected isn't so difficult.".
Liam looks confused at the apparent easiness of the task, but does as he's told. Once blindfolded and against the wall, and after a brief pause, Liam begins to make his way across. He takes a few deep breaths with his first few paces, trying to prepare himself for what might be ahead. Unbeknownst to Liam, Hawk and Dani have positioned obstacles in his path, the first of which, a 6 foot high gym horse, he walks straight into.
Liam: "OK...what the hell is this?"
He pats around, feeling out the object.
Liam: "What am I supposed to do now? Have I failed already?"
The disappointment Liam was expecting from Hawk earlier is now obvious on the older man's face.
Hawk: "What would you do if you knew it was there?"
Liam: "Go around it, or climb over it".
Hawk rolls his eyes and sighs as, even with the answer in his mind, Liam merely stands still.
Hawk: "Then why aren't you doing it, boy? When something unexpected comes your way, deal with it like you would if you knew it was there in the first place".
Taking the advice on board, Liam climbs up the horse and drops down on to the other side.
Hawk: "No more help from me, you go it alone from here".
Liam continues walking for a few more steps, before feeling the floor beneath him give way as he falls into a deep pool of water, which he hadn't previously noticed. Initially hesitant with surprise, Liam remembers Hawk's words and starts to swim through it until he reaches the other side. Feeling earth, rather than water, he lifts himself out of the water with both hands.
Hawk: "Better, keep going!"
Encouraged at his teacher's words, Liam presses on, taking the remaining obstacles on as they come. Eventually, he finds himself at the other end of the cave, though he is unaware of this. Using his hands to scope out what's in front him, he frowns as he considers its size.
Liam: "OK...this one doesn't feel right...what the hell is it?"
Dani walks up behind him and gives him a big hug, causing Liam to lift his blindfold off and see the wall of the cave.
Dani: "It's victory darling. Victory!"
Liam turns round to embrace his girlfriend, before looking over to Hawk. The old man is now smiling back at him, which draws a big grin from Liam.
Liam: "How did I do boss?"
Hawk: "It's a start...now put your blindfold back on...we've still got work to do".

Saturday 9th - Unknown Location
The camera fades in to show a mirror maze, with Liam Reilly's image reflected in all of the mirrors, but it is unclear as to where he is within the maze at the time. Liam is sat in the classical "Thinker" pose, silently contemplating things in his head, staring at the floor. After a few moments he looks straight ahead, which in some mirrors gives the impression that he's looking straight into the camera.
Liam: "I've often heard the old adage, 'Knowledge is Power', and I always take some time to think about what it means. Knowing how to manipulate a machine gives you the power to utilise it to its full potential. Knowing the answers to a test gives you the power to pass with flying colours. But in some cases, knowledge is not necessary to still wield power. Knowing how to spin a golf ball isn't necessary if you can hit holes-in-one all day. Knowing where the location of your enemy's base isn't necessary if you can just bomb the entire region to hell...and knowing the identity of your opponents isn't necessary when you know you have the tools to overcome anyone and anything.
"Dante, I must first apologise for taking the time to address Mr. Baker after last week's Rapture, without even mentioning you. I'll be honest with you and say I lost sight of what was right in front of me at the time, lost sight of what was in the moment, lost sight of you. But that was the past and right now, my focus is on you and whoever you have to back you up at Wrestle Extravaganza. This is not because the greater goal is less important, but because the task at hand warrants more of my attention. You see, when James Baker said that he was asleep during Damon's and my match against DNA last week, he wasn't alone. Damon and I practically sleepwalked through that match, with our minds more focussed on Baker. But, given the opposition in front of us, you can hardly blame us. You on the other hand are a different proposition entirely. You're a former Tag Team Champion, formerly half of one of the more impressive teams I've seen in my career. If our focus is not 100% given to taking you down and clearing you aside, then we haven't got a chance against you...which is why there will be no distractions for us when we step in that ring with you. Our sole intent will be giving you the fight of your life, giving you our best...and that should be enough to make even The Devil Himself just a little bit scared".
Liam pauses for a moment to consider another factor in the upcoming match.
Liam: "As far as your mystery tag team partner is concerned, if you think that's thrown me off my game, think again. I'm not going to let myself worry as to who you've got up your sleeve. For all I care it could be Santa, Humpty Dumpty, Snow White, her 7 Dwarves, Elmo...actually, I wouldn't fight Elmo, he's good people...but you could have Wolverine, a Power Ranger, Celine Dion, Jackie Chan, Bigfoot...it doesn't matter who your partner is, because I know that they're nothing that The New Era can't handle and nothing that we haven't handled before".
At this point Liam stands up and begins to walk through the maze, his reflection remaining visible to the camera.
Liam: "Dante, I'll leave you with this thought. Do you know what Redemption is? Redemption is the act of saving someone from evil, from sin...from The Devil. Redemption is taking someone away from The Devil, defying his will and thwarting his plans. Do you know what that means Dante? Do you know what that says about you, The Devil and I, The Redeemer? It says I have the power to overcome you. I have the power to take what you want away from you".
At this point, the camera is hoisted up suddenly and is spun round to a close up of Liam, who is holding it.
Liam: "It means I have power over you, even without knowledge. And when you find yourself in the ring with The New Era, with no power, with the victory you crave agonisingly out of reach, we will break you apart, regardless of who you bring along for the ride".
Liam stares at the camera, and it fades out.
