Well in light of a conversation that took place in the chatbox, this shit is extremely important, so don't go skipping any of this.
I was planning on making an announcement anyways so I can be fully prepared for like a few months down the line, but since the conversation in the chatbox where an important staff member is in all likelihood going to be out of commission for a very long time - it's highly necessary to do this now.
Now with Reaper on the fence of not being able to write anymore due to major computer issues (since he'd have very limited access on the other computer he goes to, if his laptop doesn't get to working, he's not gonna be able to help any longer or RP which is a different subject altogether), we're in complete dire straits on match-writers. As of the moment, it's down to myself, Mariano and newer volunteers Stryker and George (Jerry Matthews) who can only write one match (I'm putting that as likely for both of them). Not including Stryker and George (as they have been confirmed today), the average match written by just Mariano and myself rounds off to three per show. With the amount of people we have on the roster and the amount that Reaper takes on - just he and I isn't exactly enough to get by with what we do around here.
Anyways, yes, this thread is by all means an offer to reach out for match-writers in the world of Premium Championship Wrestling (and even outside if those outside of the place read this)! We are in a shortage situation and don't worry, I ain't gonna hog tie ya'll and make you guys do it. Never been my style and I hate forcing people to do shit they don't want to do. However, help is and always will be appreciated. Just drop the line (or reply) if you are interested.
Another part of the announcement is we are going to drop down from eight to nine matches on the show, to an ideal number of six or seven (depending on the takers for match-writers). This is one I have been thinking about for quite some time now and it doesn't help that as of the last few shows, I have been struggling trying to get stuff written on my end and am feeling a tad on the burnout side maintaining everything I have to do (hence why it takes a while for me to update things). The only saving grace is that this is bi-weekly and not on a weekly basis like we had the first time around, but I am definitely looking to have smaller cards and lessening the role of angle matches in general (also will lessen jobber like matches too which we don't really have those often either).
Now if there are no takers on match writing (and hopefully there are takers), I have also thought of a rotary like system for our roster, just so not everybody can be booked for back to back shows, and it would make the lesser matches on the cards more easier to determine, and that may or may not happen anyways, depending on how it's viewed and all (as well as seeing how easily manageable it can be).
If I knew I could handle it all myself, I likely wouldn't have made this announcement, but with not having as much free time as I used to have, working over forty hours a week, my main computer not being as reliable as it once was and having a really screwed up sleep schedule since my oldest son is a pain in the ass to wake up and get ready for school - but I can barely juggle all of that while writing three matches and all I do for the show.
Regarding Rapture itself. This one will go up as scheduled, I have mostly everything so nothing completely malfunctioned this round, but with all that has gone on, this is serious business but I know as a roster, we can get through this and continue to prosper on as the great fed of Premium Times.
And one more thing...
I'd like to thank each and every person, past and present, for making this place the way it is and without you all, PCW wouldn't be half as good and enjoyable in the on and off three years it has existed, and I couldn't be anymore grateful for having you all here and enjoying this shit.
Now if I can think of anything else (since I am a very forgetful person), I'll let you guys know! In the meantime, enjoy your day!
