So I decided I needed something to do and today is a relax day for me on my day off of work (apart from ordering a game online and watching football that is lol). I got to thinking about all of the shit that annoys the hell out of me in my life (there's a lot), so one thing led to another and I figured I would make this into a likes and dislikes list strictly for the wonderful hobby we compete in today to spruce up the OOC section a little bit.
The following is what I can think of at the moment. I know there is plenty more on the list but I don't feel like making this drag on and stuff. Apologies if I come off as a bitchy type of asshole here.
Egos:
This comes strictly from the fed-head perspective, and it's entirely in the OOC stance. We have seen this around here since this fed re-opened (won't name drop as many of you already are aware of the person that is the prime example of this) as well as during the first run (again won't name drop due to that one incident being well publicized), but if you're going to act like a little bitch with a holier than thou attitude thinking you're shit don't stink and are immune from following the same rules and regulations as everybody else, chances are I'll tell you you're an annoying shit or just ignore you entirely. Granted, I know everybody has the potential of thinking their shit don't stink, but in an OOC perspective, leave the egos at the door. You can be an arrogant smug asshole all you want in-character, but it's not cool to act like a total douche bag OOC. That's one thing that drives me insane.
Blurring IC and OOC:
This has only began to become something I get annoyed at, with the whole use of Twitter and all, it's more prevalent than ever. Now you can be an ass in-character all you want, after all, it IS IN-CHARACTER, but I find it rather cheap to put some OOC shit into an IC setting. The two should ALWAYS be separate, no exceptions. There's the handler and then there's the character, they should be easy to differentiate.
Getting butthurt over IC stuff:
The IC/OOC thing brings another peeve of mine to light, and that's taking IC shit way too seriously. Yes, it's pretty self-explanatory, but it is bugging though. Why take it like a life or death situation when it's just in-character? This is a game, have fun and don't take this so personal. Twitter is the thing that has more or less irked me on that type of thing (as well as other things I won't list), but also had my share of seeing those make it into full blown situations. Now I do understand getting pissed if somebody was taking OOC shots at you (like the point above) and you were defending yourself (I am of the belief that the one who gets overly butthurt shouldn't go doing the same damn thing they have bitched about), but all that negative energy is just... it's just not right for the game!
There's more about this particular topic that doesn't sit well with me, but I'll cover that for another time (some stuff most already know about).
Constant pic base/theme song, etc. changing:
This is one we have encountered not too long ago (there is a rule here for that), but it's extremely annoying to see a person change his/her details like every week or so. Makes it hard to keep up with as well.
The stance on women competing against men/Women's Divisions:
This is more of me being against those who bitch and moan about women facing men in e-feds. Fedding is fictional and with role-play feds, its really about who did the best RP (unless stated otherwise). I'm not a fan of women's divisions at all in the game as some of the best writers are in-fact those who handle female characters (we have two of them here), and restricting the best writers to a single division is wrong. Best writers should advance to any division, period.
No Tag Team Division:
This isn't major, but I love tag team divisions in fedding. There should be more teams without question. And who doesn't love tag team wrestling?
Now for the stuff I do like.
The writing competition:
I have always loved the competition in the game, and today (at least here that is), it's fierce and it's fun at the same time. Nothing like writing a good RP and having fun doing it.
Collaborations:
There should be more collaborations in e-fedding period. Working together is never a bad thing and as seen with some storylines, it's fun and you can make something magical out of it.
Tag Teams:
Again, I love tag teams. There should be more of that, but from what I'm seeing around Twitter, they are making a comeback which is a great thing to see. Would love to see more here in PCW.
Twitter:
For all the things I have grown to really despise in general largely because of Twitter, it does have it's good like interacting with other characters/handlers on there and more importantly, it does get the name out there which is always a good thing. I just hope more people use it for good instead of bad but that's just me.
Now this is the portion of the thread where you list yours and all that.
