Having just stepped out of the court room, James Baker and his lawyer Erwin P. Braxton are surrounded by a sea of reporters. Braxton, wastes little time in standing at the forefront.
Erwin P. Braxton: "Back up everybody. Mr. Baker will now be giving a statement."
Braxton steps aside and Baker, in his flashy suit, begins to speak.
James Baker: "Today has been a glorious day. As my good friend Mariano Fernandez would say - Justice has prevailed. Due to the victory I was granted in this long drawn out court case against Terrell Ryder, I have been granted the rights for the following things: Premium Championship Wrestling, the video libraries of its predecessors YouTube Championship Wrestling and Inferno Championship Wrestling, the libraries of PWW, ECCW and Libertarian Wrestling, 100% stake in Baker-Money Ryder Productions and I also own the Premium Television Network. Yes, that [Bleep] is mine."
Everybody in attendance mutters to themselves.
James Baker: "With all that said, I'm willing to take questions from you guys. So have at it ladies and gentlemen."
A dark haired reporter speaks up.
Reporter #1: "Monica Anderson here. Mr. Baker, what are the plans for the video libraries of ICW and YCW?"
James Baker: "Thank you for the question Ms. Anderson. For ICW, while I will be owning the rights to everything for it, Mr. Lonewolf and Mr. Brownlee can shop it to other networks so it can be shown along with the Premium Television Network. And in exchange, I have offered them a life time contract to allow HCW to air on PTV, should they accept of course. After all, ICW was a founding father and helped pave the way for PCW to thrive so its only fitting to see what networks they can get to show the classic footage the company put out for the fans nearly four years ago.
As for YCW, ECCW, LW and PWW goes? The same arrangements are in place for those shows. We will air the reruns at the same timeslot they air at currently. Those companies were vital to the professional wrestling industry and I know fans want to continue seeing the history of those places. Not to worry, it will happen."
Next, a man with short brown hair speaks up.
Reporter #2: "Robert Rivers here. Mr. Baker, with you now owning 100% of Baker-Money Ryder Productions, will you rename it to something that's more fitting to yourself?"
James Baker: "I'm glad you asked that Mr. Rivers. Since I now own 100% of this, I am going to rename it, and from here on out, it will be known as Hardcore Enterprises. We won't specialize in just TV production, wrestling and the music industry. Oh no, because we are going to add ventures to our resume. Restaurants, more businesses, sports agencies, I want this brand to be extremely high and I'll do everything in my power to make that happen."
A third interviewer, this time a blonde woman, now speaks up.
Reporter #3: "Samantha Hart speaking. Mr. Baker, you have bought everything there is concerning PCW and no doubt paid a hefty sum for it along with the other assets. My question for you is, what do you plan on doing with PCW in general?"
James Baker: "Great question Ms. Hart. Let me set the record straight, Morgan Simmons is a flat out [Bleep]ing liar. When I was awarded the rights to Premium Championship Wrestling, Terrell Ryder was listed as the man with the 51% percent of the controlling stake of the company. Nowhere did it state that Morgan Simmons had any part of it. She was just an employee. Now unless she acted on behalf of Mr. Ryder, which I highly doubt, she had zero authorization to do what she did at the end of PCW's final pay-per-view four months ago. To be on the technical side of things for the moment, the company should still be here today and thriving heading into Battle Finale IV."
Samantha Hart: "You never answered my question."
James Baker: "Sorry about that. What will happen is merchandise will still be sold just like it was when it was absent the first time and we will air PCW reruns on PTV every Saturday and Sunday night."
Now a fourth reporter, a man with gray hair and beard, asks a question.
Reporter #4: "Stanley Haas here. Mr. Baker, do you have plans for a PCW full time return, or reunion show anytime soon?"
James Baker: "Thank you for the question Mr. Haas. I can say despite my viewpoint that PCW should technically still be here and thriving today, the prospects of a full time return is not in the cards nor will it ever happen. The wrestling market is over saturated with too many products and it outnumbers the amount of wrestlers available. There are other reasons but I won't get into it at this time."
Stanley Haas: "And the possible reunion shows?"
James Baker: "That is completely up in the air. I'll make that decision as we go. Right now, there's no clear cut plan for it. We cannot just have one at the snap of my fingers. Doesn't work that way. I know the fans do want it and I know if it were to be done, I'd add talents who appreciated PCW while they were there and want to do it. I won't elaborate on who I'd accept and leave out, but I'd estimate about two years from now is when a reunion show could happen. Maybe."
Baker steps back and whispers in his lawyers ear. Erwin P. Braxton steps up and speaks again.
Erwin P. Braxton: "This questionnaire is over with. Now if you'll excuse us, we have to get back to our families."
Baker and Braxton begin making their way through the sea of reporters and head on out of there, knowing that justice did indeed prevail on this fateful day.
