Cardinal City Pro Live Event: 1/7/15
Location: i Wireless Arena in Moline, Illinois
Fan Attendance: 11,500
Match One: Chelle Harper vs. Crazy Seth
Chelle Harper def. Crazy Seth in 9:34 Via Pinfall after hitting The Drown at Sea combination following a very physical, back and forth match between the former Television Champion and The Newcomer. Seth dictated the pace for most of the match and seemed to have an answer for everything that Harper threw at him, even managing to counter her 6 Second Tan into a calf killer Submission Hold and all but torturing Harper as he nearly forced her to submit. Harper, despite the very tough, physical match up, managed to grit out the hard fought victory.
Match Two: [Triple Threat for The Cardinal City Pro Tag Team Titles] The Kings of Dublin © Vs. The Hardcore Nation Vs. Future Shock
The Kings of Dublin def. Future Shock and The Hardcore Nation in 15:23 Via Pinfall after hitting The HearbreaKing on Cody Edgington following a miscue with partner Glen Asher, retaining The Cardinal City Pro Tag Team Championship. The Kings were beside themselves when their third opponents were revealed as their rivals in Future Shock, and rightfully so as the young team picked up where they left off in this triple threat match for the gold. The Veteran Team in The Hardcore Takeover seemed to be having an off night, as there were several times during the match where both Future Shock and The KOD seemingly boxed them out and had the match won. They finally manage to fight their way back into the match, when Edgington miss-aim's a big boot and nearly knocks Asher's head off! Edgington doesn't have time to think of what he's done as he's attacked from behind by both members of The KOD, leading to them hitting The HeartbreaKING for the win.
Match Three: La Sombra Vs. Kyoko Kawashima
Kyoko Kawashima def. La Sombra in 11:07 Via Pinfall after hitting The Go To Sleep following a roll through counter to La Sombra's Mayoranna after a fast paced, high flying clinic between the Joshi and Luchadore.
Match four: [Cardinal City Pro Women's Title] Alisyn © Vs. Kelsey Kinari
Alisyn def. Kelsey Kinari in 10:05 Via Submission after forcing Kinari to verbally submit to the Ties that Bind in order to retain The Cardinal City Pro Women's Championship.
30 Minute Intermission
Match Five: Ella Lopez vs. Alyce Karston
Alyce Karston def. Ella Lopez in 12:56 Via Pinfall after hitting The Buisiku Knee Strike, winning her first match back following her minor injury last month.
Match Six: One on One: Alexa Corra Vs. Shawn Bradley
Alexa Corra def. Shawn Bradley in 11:59 Via Pinfall after hitting The Second City Sin, making her return to Cardinal City Pro tonight as well and in rare form as she wrestled a near perfect match against Bradley.
Main Event: [Cardinal city Pro World Title] Liam Reilly © Vs. Brian Stryker
Liam Reilly def. Brian Stryker in 18:51 Via Pinfall after hitting The Redemption Denied after an exciting, pulse pounding Main Event between the two. Stryker came close to dethroning the New World Champion in his first title defense, out speeding Reilly and keeping him off guard with his high octane offense. Reilly would not be denied as he took over the match, keeping Stryker grounded and working him over with crippling submission holds as he slows the match down and forces Stryker to wrestle his preferred style. Stryker found his way back into the match after a jaw rattling spin kick right to the jaw of Reilly, and the momentum of the match shifted once again.
Near the end of the match, Stryker went for the Stryke Out DDT, only for Reilly to push him off and send him flying towards the ropes. He ducks under as Stryker leapfrogs over him and bounces off the far ropes on the rebound - and catches him coming in with a huge Scrapbuster! Reilly lifts Stryker up and places him into position, before drilling him right into the mat with The Redemption Denied before going for the pin!
After the match, Stryker extended his hand to Reilly as a sign of respect between the two. Reilly looked at Stryker's hand, then up at him, before he finally reached out and shook it as the crowd cheered loudly in response.
