It seems that there is a major controversy brewing as Cardinal City Pro gets ready for the upcoming cross-branded Supercard with the Japan based promotion, Glory For Puroresu. One of GFP's Owners, HAN, has petitioned for the event to be canceled, and has threatened to fire and blacklist any wrestler currently under contract for GFP should they appear against his orders. The reason? One half of The GFP Junior Champions - Michiko Yamada - isn't main eventing the show against CCP's World Champion, Liam Reilly. HAN actually called CCP's main office in downtown Louisville and launched into an angry tirade, claiming that Michiko should not only be facing Reilly, but that CCP's World Title should be on the line as well. Members of Cardinal City Pro's management were furious at HAN's attempts to essentially hold the event hostage unless the match was agreed to, and entered talks with GFP's board of directors to discuss the matter.
Members of management are now questioning the decision to continue the business relationship with GFP with HAN at the helm, as it is proving to be a detriment to both organizations. With his handling of certain talent on the roster, as well as his fixation on giving Michiko Yamada opportunities that many feel she hasn't earned or deserved just yet (As proven by this stunt), Cardinal City Pro may end up distancing themselves from the promotion if HAN isn't reigned in.
