Match 1: Alice vs. Lola (w/James Baker)
We opened up the show with a veteran of the squared circle against one of the brightest young stars. Lola looked to get back on track, but Alice here looks to do the same. The bell sounded and both competitors had a feeling out process, with neither able to gain the upperhand early in this one. They went for a lock up... but Lola faked Alice out and raked her in the eyes before hitting a hip toss to keep her down.
Lola kept the advantage, but Alice eventually got back and the veteran hit the young upstart in the mouth several times before nailing her with a vicious knee to the face. Alice from there, employed a bruising style that kept Lola at a disadvantage. She had a couple of near falls in the process, but Lola was able to fight back and hit a spear with some punches to the face to keep herself alive in the process.
The two competitors were going back and forth here, with Alice eventually gaining the upperhand here, having Lola up against the ropes. Alice stunned Lola with a Pele reverse kick before going to the top rope. She went to the top rope and attempted the Top You Up... but Lola caught her, and planted her down with a sitout powerbomb! Lola flipped her hair and danced seductively before getting Alice up and planting her back down with the spinning heel kick she calls the Lola Kick. She hooks the leg... and the Three count to get her the victory.
WINNER: Lola via pinfall!
"Not Gonna Die Tonight" by Skillet plays and the crowd roars in approval as Rachel Robinson walks out from the back, banged up from two weeks ago and the WWA Hardcore Championship strapped around her waist. Mariella Lopez appears alongside her, with a neck brace around her neck, still not recovered from three weeks ago. The two of them slowly but surely walk down the aisle, slapping hands with a few fans before getting in the ring with assistance. Mariella is handed a microphone and begins to speak.
Mariella Lopez: Three weeks ago, I was scheduled to have my match up in quite sometime as I was booked against... Taryn Willow!
The crowd boos the mentioning of the former Hardcore Champion.
Mariella Lopez: But... the match didn't happen and instead, I was attacked before I could get to the ring. I was bloodied, battered, and finished off with a leg drop while a chair was wrapped around my neck.
Mariella says with anger.
Mariella Lopez: I was carted off on a stretcher while she laughed... but she wasn't laughing a week later when my client Rachel Robinson sent her ass into the electrical set, sending SHOCKWAVES into her system. Turnabout is fair play... although I have been hearing the phrase "two wrongs do not make a right" as of late.
Mariella pauses before continuing.
Mariella Lopez: While I understand where they come from, I for one, don't give a shit about morals in this case. She had the intent of breaking my neck after I responded back with some harsh words of my own when she had NO FUCKING BUSINESS bringing up shit that was none of her fucking business. I am one that doesn't feel bad for what happened to her. She deserves it after alienating damn near the entire roster. Aside from Crystal Alvarez, everybody in that locker room hates her fucking guts, and its valid. She's a piece of fucking shit. She's a fucking asshole to the lady who signs our checks, who is the nicest fucking person around this place. THAT is fucking bullshit in my view and in the opinion of everybody else back there.
Not long later, "4 Words (To Choke Upon)" by Bullet for My Valentine plays and the crowd roars in cheers as Crystal Alvarez walks out from the back. She is walking with a purpose, tagging some hands before grabbing a mic and sliding in the ring. She stands there and begins to speak.
Crystal Alvarez: I'm not here to demean anybody, lord knows I'm not about that in this case.
The fans are cheering for the "KO Queen".
Crystal Alvarez: Like The Enzuigiri Party and Rachel Robinson, you and I go back many years. I am friends with each and every one of you. Rachel and I have grown close, and if the rumors are indeed true, it is a damn shame of not it just happening, but also it coming to light via the dirtsheets.
Crystal says seriously.
Crystal Alvarez: I wasn't a fan of the rumors regarding Mariah and Rachel being brought to light on this program... but I certainly am not a fan of you bringing up Taryn's past issues, knowing damn well and good she worked her ass off to beat her demons. I should know because I was there every step of the way. Before she signed a contract here, things were bad. This company helped save her life, and what you did a month ago is beyond a low blow. Its despicable.
The fans are torn. They love Crystal... yet they hate Taryn all in the same.
Mariella Lopez: Look Crystal, we respect you. Everybody in this company respects the hell out of you. You are a genuine person, but your wife has had this coming to her. She pushed my client over the edge at Wildcard II just two weeks ago. We haven't seen your wife since. Meanwhile, Rachel is here right now because unlike Taryn, she is not a coward.
The look on Crystal's face is saying it all. She's pissed.
Crystal Alvarez: I wouldn't go there if I were you. Call her a coward one more time, and I swear to the good Lord above us that I will injure your neck a hell of a lot worse than Taryn did. FUCKING DO IT!
This brought Crystal face to face with Rachel Robinson. The two former Team Lethality teammates are nose to nose. But that changes as the founder of the stable, the owner of WWA Danielle Lopez walks out from the back but stands at the beginning of the ramp with a mic in hand.
Danielle Lopez: Before shit gets out of hand. Here is what we will do. Taryn will be cleared at New Year's Battlefield via her doctor's, and at that same pay-per-view, we will conclude this rivalry once and for all as Rachel will defend the Hardcore Title against her... in a LAST WOMAN STANDING MATCH!!!
The crowd cheers wildly.
Danielle Lopez: Next week though, we will have a non-title match as Rachel Robinson faces "The KO Queen" Crystal Alvarez! Good luck ladies.
"Still I Rise" by Shadows Fall plays as Danielle Lopez walks to the back while Crystal Alvarez and Rachel Robinson stare a hole into one another, knowing these two friends face off next week.
Match 2: Talia Areano vs. Princess Abeela (w/James Baker)
The bell sounded and here we went, with Talia immediately on the attack with strikes against Abeela... but the former WWA World Champ came back with some of her own, eventually taking Talia down with a snapmare followed with a kick to the back of the head. Abeela acts extremely arrogant, which doesn't sit well with the fans. She continues to work on the head of Talia Areano, putting her in a sleeper hold... but the former Hardcore Champion managed to get back up and hit a snap suplex to get out of the hold.
Talia now gets back up and seats Abeela up before running the ropes. She comes back... and nails a dropkick to the face. A quick cover... but only a Two count! Talia kept on the attack though, not letting Abeela out of the box... but Abeela countered what Talia was attempting to do, into a knee lifted neckbreaker! Abeela made a cover of her own... but only a Two count could be had!
Abeela and Talia went back and forth during this portion of the match, trading moves and anything else they had in their arsenal. Abeela went for the Royal Treatment... but Talia turned that into a Tornado DDT... but was feeling the effects! The fans were behind Talia the whole way, and it only motivated her further as she whipped Abeela into the turnbuckle and blasted her in the face with a running knee. Abeela stumbled out of the corner and Talia went to the top and dove off... moonsault!
The speed of Talia Areano was key as she used it to keep Abeela down and off balance. Abeela attempted some speed stuff of her own, as well as mixing some technicality into there. She attempted to finish it off with Desert Lightning... but Talia ducked it, then hit a spinning neckbreaker. This set her up to finish Abeela off with a standing verision of A Slice of Heaven, which got her the victory here.
WINNER: Talia Areano via pinfall!
Talia celebrated her win, but that's cut short as Perseus and Shelly The Bod are on the attack. Abeela is up and joins her Princesses teammates in the attack while James Baker watches on. This went on until Whiskey Emmanuelle came out and fought alongside Talia for a bit, causing the villains to retreat up the aisle. Whiskey and Talia look at one another before wanting The Princesses to get back into the ring and finish this.
"Still I Rise" by Shadows Fall plays and the fans cheer wildly as Danielle Lopez appears for the second time tonight, but she's not alone as Dr. Lester appears beside her, with Doomsday, Zaira and Ella Lopez behind her. They walk down the aisle and Danielle slaps hands with the fans before her and company all enter the ring. The boss lady has a microphone and begins to speak.
Danielle Lopez: Last week, dumb and dumber named the five members of their team, adding two big bitches to the mix in Big Ugly and Shrek's sister Mandy.
The crowd got a chuckle.
Danielle Lopez: They are attempting to stack the deck against us, which is quite alright knowing I have made a career off of beating the odds. They said I would never be a World Champion let alone succeed as an active competitor, yet I did both. Fuck you CWF for that by the way.
Danielle says to cheers from the crowd.
Danielle Lopez: But the bastards have their five members named, and well... we may need to do the same here. Give us a fighting chance so to speak, and I certainly have the first three members of this team. They are champions, the TRIOS CHAMPIONS...
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed plays and the fans roar as The Killswitch Knockouts walk out with their titles in tow. They walk down the aisle and head into the ring.
Danielle Lopez: Now for four and five. Well... it took a minute, but after a long conversation and a little shopping with my bestie, we named TWO of her clients as the final members.
"Du Hast" by Rammstein hits and the fans cheer loudly as Morgan Simmons and Riley James walk out from the back with Talia Skye behind them. They walk down the aisle, intent before hitting the ring. They both shake hands with the boss before standing behind them.
Danielle Lopez: These are the five women who represent our team at New Year's Battlefield! We have experience, we have champions, we have a young talented wrestler who has many many years ahead of her. We also have master motivators behind them who are more than capable and wise to give the words of wisdom they sorely need. This team has everything and in three weeks, we will be victorious.
"Still I Rise" hits again as Team Lester-Lopez leaves the ring and heads to the back.
Match 3: Crystal Alvarez vs. Kyoko Kawashima (w/Bella Robinson and Mariella Lopez)
This one begins and a handshake occurs right off the bat as both competitors circle around the ring for good positioning. They lock up and its a stalemate as neither really gained the upperhand. They tried the lock up for a second time... and the same thing as last time! The two of them said "fuck it" and decided to throw some haymakers, to in which both of them were evened up, but the shots themselves were as stiff as can be which is what both competitors prefer.
They continued their evened up onslaught on one another, but mixing it in with a various amount of suplexes and submission holds, with Kyoko more than holding her own against the two time WWA World Champion! Kyoko hit a scoop slam, then followed up with a knee drop to the forehead before finishing the sequence off with a spinning kick right to the jaw of the "KO Queen." Kyoko immediately hooked the leg... but could only get a Two count!
Kyoko stays on Crystal, giving her a few knife edged chops before shooting her into a corner. Kyoko runs in, looking for a Stinger splash... NOBODY HOME! Kyoko crashed chest first and Crystal immediately ran the ropes! Crystal back off the rebound... Flying forearm smash to the face! Kyoko goes down and Crystal goes to work, hitting a fury of strikes before finishing the sequence off with a belly-to-back suplex! She quickly goes for a cover... but Kyoko only kicked out at the count of Two!
The match up continued and it was still an even affair, with both competitors adding a little Japanese strong style to the festivities. Kyoko with some backfists... but Crystal countered with some of her own, before hitting a Discus clothesline! She went for the Super Duper Knockout Supreme... but Kyoko grabbed her upon arrival, and hit her with the GTS! She hooked the leg... but Crystal kicked out at Two-and-a-half! Oh so close!
Kyoko signals the end is near and waits for Crystal to get back up. Crystal is up and Kyoko attempts the Kyoko Special... but Crystal instead, held on to the neck area of Kawashima... and eventually brings both herself and her opponent down to the mat where Crystal quickly locks in the Tap or Die! Kyoko is in a very bad way right now, and Crystal is only adding on to the pressure. After about a minute or so, Kyoko had no choice but to submit to the deadly hold.
WINNER: "The KO Queen" Crystal Alvarez via submission!
Crystal celebrates but is quickly cut off by Mariella Lopez.
Mariella Lopez: You know, I'm going to add to next week. Not only will you be facing Rachel Robinson, but Bella as well... in a HANDICAP MATCH! How do you like that?
Mariella smirks, but Crystal shrugs her shoulders, accepting this change in match up.
Backstage and already, a brawl has broken out between both challenging teams, The Boston Bombshells and The Jungle Warriorsl. They duked it out until they were separated by officials. But not before Dana and Amber yelled out obscenities towards the Jungle Warriors. Meanwhile in another room seats Talia Skye and Reyna Carter, who get a very very large pop from their hometown fans. They state they wished they could compete tonight... but they promise they will do so next week, all the while saying that they will emerge from New Years Battlefield STILL WWA Tag Team Champions.
Match 4: Whiskey Emmanuelle © vs. Sophia Young [WWA Television Championship]
The bell sounds for the weekly Television Title match, and while Whiskey goes right after Sophia with some hard strikes, Talia Areano joins the announce table to scout this match up in particular. Whiskey was all over Sophia in the early going, striking her at will... but the inaugural WWA World Champion fought back with some dirty tactics before employing a series of suplexes to hopefully throw off the Television Champion, which worked for a bit to be fair.
Sophia now has a knee right in the spine of the champion as she has a chin lock... but the fans cheers motivates Whiskey to get back to a vertical standing and she hits a jawbreaker, followed up with a boot to the gut, then a neckbreaker to finish it off! She went for the cover... but only a Two count! Whiskey stays on Sophia, pounding her fists into her... but Sophia is coming back strong, withstanding everything, as well as hitting a Russian Leg Sweep.
Sophia whips Whiskey into the ropes, runs in... and hits a clothesline! Whiskey stumbles out and Sophia hits a Belly-to-back suplex! She goes for a cover... but only a Two count! Sophia looks frustrated and signals for her finishing move early. She gets Whiskey up and goes for Young Before Old... but Whiskey had other plans, and turned it into a Cutter, before transitioning into the Dragon sleeper, fully locking in the submission she calls Crank That Fucker! Sophia though, had no choice but to submit to the hold, giving Whiskey the victory.
WINNER, AND STIIIILLL WWA TELEVISION CHAMPION: Whiskey Emmanuelle via submission!
Whiskey receives her Television Championship, but is immediately attacked from behind by Princess Abeela, Perseus and Shelly The Bod, continuing what happened earlier tonight. The three on one affair was far more vicious than earlier. Talia Areano attempted to repay the favor from earlier, but the numbers were too great for her to overcome. The Princesses stand tall over the fallen two competitors, with Abeela holding the Television Title high in the air to boos from the crowd.
Main Event: Terra (w/Talia Skye) vs. Desiree Miles
Main event time, and its our number one contender for the World Title, the beast herself Terra, looking to continue her momentum as she squares off against longtime rival Desiree Miles. Terra looks as imposing as ever, but Desiree being the resilient competitor she is, is not backing down from the much larger woman she has beaten before. The two of them are face to face as the referee rings the bell for this one to begin.
Desiree tries kicking at the legs of Terra to begin this one, but the beast is largely unfazed by this. Desiree now tries for a forearm smash... but instead, she gets CLOCKED with a clothesline that could have turned her inside out. Terra now is punishing Desiree in the early going, exhibiting the raw power that made her a former WWA World Champion to begin with, and despite being in the Black Rose Mafia with Desiree; Talia Skye unanimously approves of the destruction Terra is bringing here.
Terra continues her dominance, and eventually locks in a Bearhug! Desiree is in a world of pain... and eventually gets out of it by boxing the ears before hitting a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. The fans are behind Desiree and she attempts the Florida's Finest DDT... but Terra was too big, and she threw her to the mat rather forcefully. This set up the two-handed chokebomb before the Terra Press, followed by a Three count!
WINNER: Terra via pinfall!
"Planets: Mars, The Bringer Of War" Gustav Holst plays and the fans cheer for Terra. Meanwhile, Talia helps Desiree up and gives her a hug. All this is going down while Kijo watches on in a dark room that's shown on a different feed, with nobody knowing her location or why she's staring at the TV very stoic like. The show ends with Terra celebrating and Talia tending to Desiree.
