Lethal TV (formerly Premium Wrestling Network) has had enough with sister company Women's Wrestling Alliance (WWA) and has threatened owner Danielle Lopez that WWA will be pulled off of TV and threatened legal action if there isn't a brand new World Champion by Thanksgiving Thunder.
In a Talent Meeting in the later hours of 28th August, 2018, Danielle revealed that, after having a meeting with LTV executives, the Network has issued the company an ultimatum: strip current WWA World Champion Mariah Lopez, or have her drop it to someone else, or else the Network will immediately pull WWA Friday Night Frenzy off of their live TV block.
While it wasn't mentioned in the network meeting, those close to the individuals in that meeting added that the network also threatened a lawsuit with WWA over breach of contract for "airing sexually explicit content on live TV."
The incident in question comes from the opening segment of the 27th July, 2018 edition of Friday Night Frenzy, where Mariah and her fiancee, then Hardcore Champion Aubrey Cassidy, filmed a live Sex Celebration in the middle of the ring. Danielle and Mariah's 2 World Title contenders Talia Skye and Athena, denouncing Mariah and Aubrey's actions, saying that they were "dragging Women's Professional Wrestling back into the dark ages of the 90s."
It is currently unknown who approved the segment to air, but fans are speculating that Mariah has since gone into business for herself, defying the wishes of her cousin/boss. Danielle has fined Mariah $500,000 and Aubrey $250,000. No suspensions, firings, or title strippings have been made. However, the lack of any title vacations, suspensions, and firings has caused WWA relations with LTV to sour.
Danielle refuses to vacate any of her championships, as she does not want devalue any of her championships with a vacancy of any kind. Fans have also speculated that Danielle refuses to strip Mariah due to their familial ties. Mariah has since had numerous title defenses against Talia Skye and Athena, where she has retain through various dirty means.
During the Talent Meeting, Danielle has revealed that, starting on the Frenzy Tapings after Wildcard V, that Mariah will be forced to defend her championship against almost everyone on the WWA Roster not associated with her, and each defense will have stipulations preventing outside interference, or if any outside interence occurs on Mariah's behalf, she will lose the title. The order on who will receive those title defenses has not been revealed, but Crystal Alvarez is already penciled in as potentially Mariah's final WWA Championship Defense at November 2nd's Thanksgiving Thunder, the due date of PWN's Ultimatum. Is Mariah retains the title against Alvarez, and Danielle does not strip her of the title by the conclusion of the pay-per-view broadcast, then WWA will be pulled from their television blocks on their Network and WWA will be taken to court.
We of the Premium eWrestling Enquirer have reached out to representatives of WWA and LTV. Neither have commented as of the publishing of this article
