- Following a vicious beatdown at the hands of her sister’s Christina and Mariella on the 190th edition of Friday Night Frenzy, Mariah Lopez was rushed to Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health. It is being reported that Lopez suffered a Grade Four concussion following the two con-chair-to’s from Christina Lopez. This injury is expected to keep her out of the ring for a minimum of four weeks but per WWA guidelines, Lopez is scheduled to undergo constant testing to ensure she is symptom free. It will not interfere with her shooting schedule for SPLAT! Media Television show Madison Tower.
- Speaking of SPLAT! Media. WWA’s head of Social Media Gloria Lopez was revealed as a cast member for the show Tish where she will play the role of Juanita Vera Cruz, the no-nonsense head of Aamessoft’s Game Development Department. She joins Raven Crowe, Yang Shu, Eavan Maloney and her nieces Christina and Mariah as the latest WWA employee to get into the acting industry with all but Maloney having acted under the Splat label.
- In other injury related news. WWA Chairwoman Danielle Lopez revealed on Twitter that she recently underwent hip surgery. It’s documented that Danielle suffered the injury (and others that have gradually healed) via multiple falls back in 2013 in a Hell in a Cell match against Syn for the PCW World Championship (which she won), and the injury had gradually worsened since with the one-off matches over the years. While it is very unlikely she will ever wrestle again, Danielle is expected to make a full recovery and lead a normal life. Her ReyFab Incorporated shoot scheduled in late January might be in jeopardy with this surgery, just nobody knows when exactly she had gotten it.
- When it comes to WWA talent; Raven Crowe, Tara Cabral, The Reaper, Jung Moon, the tag teams The Purge and Wildside, and the Chroma Conclave trio of Dokueki, Jane Harper and Chiaki Sanada are the wrestlers noted for gaining much more fanfare with the fans, and management is quite aware of the popularity these select wrestlers are gaining through each broadcast. Management is especially high on both Jung Moon and Tara Cabral and sees both of them as the biggest breakout talent on the roster with the former racking up Wrestler and Breakout Star of the Year to go along with the Television Championship while Cabral is seen as the star of the Joshi division with the huge potential to go even further.
- On the subject of talent, word is management is especially impressed with the newer and younger talent that has been featured on the shows, especially when it comes to in-ring and promo work. Talents like Bianca Page, Maya Parsons and Yang Shu immediately jump out at them as younger/newer talents that stand out so far with the sky being the limit for those three in particular.
