"Misery Business" by Paramore plays and the crowd that was allowed inside of the Lethal Compound tonight was red hot for the eighth episode of Sunday Night Knockout under the WWA banner. Desiree Miles and Melanie Mendoza welcomed the viewers for this show and hyped up the lineup, featuring Jung Moon against Ruby Steele for the Television Championship, Dokueki and Jane Harper against The Paisley Twins, Seleana Zdunich against Lola Saint, The Killswitch Knockouts taking on Serena Mariella, Ashley Whitmore and Sunny Thompson, Maia Lopez versus Courtney Erikson, The Purge against GLITTER and The Monsters of Beauty against The Ninja Squad.
Match 1: The Monsters of Beauty (Big Beauty and Mandy "The Monster" w/Mariella Lopez) vs. The Ninja Squad (Lethalclaw and Lethalkill w/Brittany Williams)
We started this one off with The Monsters and The Ninja Squad who immediately got into a brawl with one another. The Monsters used their size and strength to have the advantage but Lethalclaw and Lethalkill used their skillset to stay in the fight. As the former Tag Team and Trios Champions were in control, Mariella used that to hit Brittany Williams from behind with a briefcase which distracted Lethalclaw but Mandy and Beauty hit her with the Double Chokeslam called Down With the Sickness then placed boots on top of her… getting the Three count for the victory.WINNERS: The Monsters of Beauty via pinfall!
Post Match: The Monsters of Beauty continued their onslaught and Brittany Williams even tried for the save, but they took her out too. Mariella and The Monsters stood tall together as the crowd boos as loud as they could.
Match 2: The Purge (Hairicin Knox and Zombie Pellegrini) vs. GLITTER (Mercedes Mendoza and Tamara Jones)
Zombie and Hairicin came into this one like a house of fire and they didn’t hesitate one bit as they took it to Mercedes and Tamara as the bell rang… but the GLITTER duo wasn’t going to go down without a fight and they had control for a little while. But The Purge made a strong comeback and especially against Tamara Jones as Mercedes Mendoza was eliminated from the fray. Zombie and Hairicin then proceeded to hit Tamara with Absolution before Zombie went for the cover… and got the Three count for the win.WINNERS: The Purge via pinfall!
Post Match: As the former Tag Team Champions were proven to be victorious, Elektra and Desdemona Stratos attacked them from behind much to the dismay of the crowd. Zombie and Hairicin attempted to fight back and they nearly had it but Elektra and Desdemona played dirty against them and managed to lay them out with stereotype Nike Chokeslams to even more hatred from the audience.
Match 3: Maia Lopez vs. Courtney Erikson
These two women attacked Yukiko Kusanagi and Diamond Steele this past Friday, and are now squaring off against one another here tonight. They each executed dirty tactics against one another, and also tried to win with those same dirty tactics but they were caught by the referee. They continued the fight but Yukiko Kusanagi and Diamond Steele came out and attacked both competitors just as they were attacked this past Friday, causing the match to be thrown out.WINNER: No Contest
Post Match: The two sides continued to brawl with one another, and like this past Friday, Scott and Marty had to break it up and they managed to do it long enough but there was still jawing and trash talk among the four competitors who were in the Scars of Wrestling Cup match.Match 4: The Killswitch Knockouts (Mya Lopez, Lilith Evans and Yasmeen Dumont) vs. Serena Mariella, Ashley Whitmore and Sunny Thompson
A Trios contest and right out of the gate, The Knockouts were wreaking havoc and the team of Serena, Whitmore and Thompson didn’t have a clear answer in this one as Lopez, Evans and Dumont were the aggressors and didn’t let up one bit. Sunny Thompson was surrounded by the three time Trios Champions, and the KO’s proceeded to hit her with the Broken Files, then the Three count for the victory.WINNERS: The Killswitch Knockouts via pinfall!
Post match: As The Knockouts were declared the winners, The Puerto Rican Head Smashers came out for a brawl. The two teams mixed it up until The Knockouts dumped all three of the Head Smashers out of the ring much to the delight of the crowd. Rivera, Sanchez and Diaz teased coming back in but ultimately decided not to and went to the back to fight another day.Match 5: Seleana Zdunich (w/Zenna Zdunich) vs. Lola Saint (w/Kelli Saint and Mariella Lopez)
Coming off of a shocking loss Friday night, The Sainthood was looking to rebound here tonight and gain important momentum heading into Wildcard X. It started out strong for Lola who went in with some strikes but eventually Seleana got the upperhand and quickened the pace, completely throwing Lola off track… but the “Pride of Indiana” eventually came back with hard strikes of her own. This was a back and forth affair and Lola went for the Lola Kick… but Seleana ducked it and managed to get a rollup… with a Three count much like what happened this past Friday on Frenzy.WINNER: Seleana Zdunich via pinfall!
Post match: Seleana and Zenna went up the aisle and celebrated with Eavan Maloney while Mariella and The Sainthood were throwing temper tantrums inside of the ring knowing they have lost two straight heading into this championship bout.Match 6: Chroma Conclave (Dokueki and Jane Harper) vs. The Paisley Sisters (Sarah and Tina Paisley)
Just nineteen days until Wildcard X, and the Trios Champions were looking to gain some more momentum (and retribution) heading into their title defense. The Paisley Sisters tried to get the jump on them but that only made the champs more angry and each of them put an absolute beating on their opponents, with Jane taking Sarah out with KO, Bitch! Dokueki taking Tina out with the Dragon's Dive! Then the two of the got Tina back up with Dokueki having her on her shoudlers and Jane hit a Diving Blockbuster, then the cover… and a Three count!WINNERS: Chroma Conclave via pinfall!
Post Match: Dokueki and Harper celebrated their win and sent a message loud and clear to The Pretty Committee that this rivalry they have will end one way or another in nineteen days.Main Event: Jung Moon © vs. Ruby Steele [WWA Television Championship]
This was the biggest match in Ruby Steele’s WWA career, and she wasn’t going to let this huge opportunity pass her by… but Jung Moon is a completely different competitor and she put the younger Steele to work from the get-go. Steele withstood some of the punishment and actually got in a bit of offense herself, getting a couple of near falls on the “Unforgettable” dual champion. But Jung came back with her own style of offense and was striking at Ruby at will, all to set up for the Seoul Crusher, which connected right on the dot before making the cover… and getting the Three count.WINNER, AND STILL WWA TELEVISION CHAMPION: “Unforgettable” Jung Moon via pinfall!
Post match: Jung celebrated her record tying successful defense of the Television Championship by holding that and her World Championship to the roar of the crowd to end this edition of Sunday Night Knockout.
