Well, other than those who know about this in private as well as in the chatbox. This will more than likely be a shocker to you all, but whatever! It has to be done. As to what it is. I hate to have to do this (nor can I even believe I'm typing this out), but I think it's time that we throw in the towel and end PCW on a high note. Now before everybody gets in an uproar about it. The reasons are below!
For the past few weeks, I've had a lack of motivation to do anything regarding Rapture and PPV's. Doing it weekly has kind of been draining on me. It also hasn't helped me that I've had things going on in my personal life that has caused PCW to take a backseat. In my case, I have been dealing with some outside issues, and as a few of you know already. My mom and dad offered me a job to work in the postal field back home in Texas. I talked it over with my wife Danielle (known on here as Danielle Lopez), and she agreed that moving down there and taking the job is the best option for all of us. Higher pay ($17.50 an hour which will more than cover the expenses of the online Medical Transcription school), a steady apartment, letting the kids know my mom and dad better and letting Danielle, Al and my cousin get more acquainted with them (Al is coming with us after his own string of bad luck). We will be moving there in two weeks (which I would've asked for a week off from writing anyways just to get there and get unpacked).
That's basically what I said in the email (just shorter in length). I'm not alone on the ordeal either. Everybody here knows that Mariano is my right-hand man when it comes to writing for Rapture and PPV's. It's been this way for seemingly ever now! Both of us have written matches for all of you to enjoy. I would like to believe that everybody here enjoyed reading the PCW shows. Both past and present. And Mariano feels the same exact way I do. Hell, he's in a situation very similar to my own and like myself, he's not exactly motivated to write matches anymore.
The one goal I always envisioned for PCW was to defy the odds. Do things that people say we couldn't do. Prove the haters wrong! Most people know the haters really well. The people that say we couldn't last until 2011, or a certain Army wannabe bitch saying we wouldn't last because PCW talent would be overlooked, misplaced and underutilized without long range planning. To that person and the other douche bag, I say... we made it into 2011 and we definitely know how to book with long range planning (unlike that douche bag)! Hell, we made it to the first half of 2011. Longer than anybody would say we would last. And with beating those two parasites, as well as Rogue Trader! I can speak for everybody when PCW definitely overcame the odds.
As for the e-fedding thing. WKF is taking over as the top fed here. I know there are going to be those here that aren't too happy about it, but if anybody who feels that they want to stay and give Disturbed the chance, please do so. You all gave myself, Mariano and PCW as a whole a chance. And I have full confidence that Disturbed can dedicate more time and make it efficient. More time than what Mariano and myself can do at the moment.
Sorry for having to do this, but you have to look at it from our point of views. Being the only two match-writers for both Rapture and PPV's takes it's toll on a person. It's very draining to say the least. And I think it's best to end PCW on a high note. Let a great thing end and PCW will come to it's conclusion in the greatest way possible (which will be at Cataclysm).
And with the end of PCW. I would hope and pray that the rest of the people who come here everyday, to continue attending the chatbox, having fun in Premium City and all that jazz. Other than that, let's make the final days of PCW the greatest we can make it.
Sincerely,
James Baker
