(The scene opens to the familiar surroundings of the grassy area in front of Redemption Baptist Church. The scene is one that reflects the time of year, as the trees that surround the church and the pavilion outside are adorned with the fiery reds and oranges of the changing leaves of autumn. The pavilion full of picnic tables is filled with the usual crowd of parishioners, each dressed in their Sunday best as has become quite the norm. The front door of the church sings open, and from inside the church comes a procession led by the church choir, each walking in two-by-two fashion. Each member of the choir is adorned in coal black robes, and they are each carrying their respective hymnals. As they slowly walk from the front of the church closer to the pavilion, the hum of a hymn is heard.)
Blest are the pure in heart,
For they shall see our God;
The secret of the Lord is theirs;
Their soul is Christ's abode.
The Lord, who left the heavens
Our life and peace to bring,
To dwell in lowliness with men
Their Pattern and their King.
Still to the lowly soul
He doth Himself impart;
And for His cradle and His throne
Chooseth the pure in heart.
Lord, we Thy presence seek;
May ours this blessing be;
Give us a pure and lowly heart,
A temple meet for Thee.
(Once the hymn ends, the procession continues, and bringing up the end is "The Evangelist" Jerry Matthews. Matthews is sporting a new goatee, and he is wearing a plain black suit over a black dress shirt and black tie. He is flanked by his spiritual liaison, Deacon Jeremiah, who is wearing a similar outfit. On his other side is the woman that has been the subject of quite a few conversations among the professional wrestling blogosphere of late, Alice Humes Kennedy. Alice, unlike previous occasions, is not shackled, and she is wearing a black lace dress with her face covered thinly by a lacy veil. The threesome continues to walk until they come to a crudely constructed wooden pulpit sitting right on the edge of the pavilion. The choir take positions behind the pulpit, while Jeremiah and Alice remain flanked on either side of "The Evangelist" as he takes his normal position before his flock, ready to deliver a message that may shed light on why everyone attending this service is so somberly attired.)
Matthews: Brothers and sisters, first, it is vital to welcome each and every one of you today to our house of worship. Today is quite a somber occasion as you can imagine, but it is one that will have a much brighter end than beginning. For today, we will be giving a truly wretched soul quite the divine farewell, one that he has earned through all of his unholy deeds and actions throughout his life and career.
From forcing himself upon women who wanted nothing to do with him to leading gang assaults on chosen instruments of God to worshiping the great serpent and temptor Satan himself, Draven Logan Kennedy is a man who has done nothing in his life that would faintly resemble the proper path of existence that was laid out by Christ our Lord and Savior in the New Testament. Draven sold his soul to the unholy red menace long ago, and some may view this remembrance service today as nothing more than a mere formality since the gates of heaven have been locked to him for years. However, to me, it is vital that each and every one of you properly views exactly how to not conduct yourself, and the ultimate consequences that await you if you choose a path similar to Draven's.
Draven gave away his soul in an attempt to attain earthly glories. He was able to win the Platinum title twice, and he has garnered his own following, where he has served to close the gates of heaven off to each and every one of them. Of course, we speak of Tamara, Logan and Remi LeBeau. However, there is one that, granted with a little coercion and time, has been able to look this godless demon in the face and spit on him for his ways and come to the light. This brave woman is none other than Draven's own love of his life and mother of his little wretched snot-nosed children, Alice Humes Kennedy. Alice has been nothing short of a shining example of what must be done in order to redeem yourself in the eyes of the Holy Father. She has repudiated the ways of sin, cast evil aside, and saved herself from eternal damnation. And she has also pledged to become an instrument of God to be used in the ongoing battle against evil. Isn't that right Alice?
(Alice nods silently and crosses herself very slowly and directly. Matthews then continues once again.)
Matthews: Brothers and sisters, Alice leaving his side only serves to mark the beginning of the fiery damnation that awaits Draven when he passes away into the great beyond. This was the first step in God's war against him, and it has already served to draw his attention away from any of his PCW affairs. He has barely bothered to show his face in the past two months, instead being content to sit around on his ass and reflect over home movies of better times of himself and Alice raising their children. He has already begun to consume himself from the inside out, experiencing what he might determine to be his own personal hell. But, you see, he quite underestimates just how horrible his own hell will be in the afterlife.
All of his friends and allies have deserted him in his foremost time and need. His other Satanic follower like Tamara, Logan and Remi are nowhere to be found when he needs them most. Yet, even when it's quite clear that the entire world is against him, his inflated ego, undoubtedly caused by his personal hubris, has convinced himself that he can rise to the occasion and keep the only worthwhile possession he has left, his precious Platinum belt. This should come as no surprise. Those that let themselves become blinded by their pride never see their fall from grace coming until it hits them like an eighteen-wheeler smashing into a mosquito on the interstate.
Draven, standing up against the odds that you currently face and triumphing is reserved for one class of people, the chosen people of God. The nation of Israel stood up to their enemies, both foreign and domestic, for countless milennia, but only in times when they were faithful and remained in God's favor. But, even his chosen people were subjected to a punishment every few centuries, precisely because their faith had been lacking. Draven, you've never had faith in anything but yourself, venerating yourself to be a sort of Satanic lord that wrestlers throughout our industry should fear. However, much to your chagrin, I, much like Adrien Cochrane before me, am able to see through your pathetic charade. All of the faithful across the world will get to enjoy quite the show when you are finally put to rest six feet under.
Brothers and sisters, I apologize for going off topic. We are now going to be moving on to the most important part of our ceremony. Jeremiah, please go fetch our most esteemed guest.
(Jeremiah silently nods, and he leaves Matthews' side and heads for the front door of the church. After a few minutes, the front door of the church is opened, and the clear sounds of kicking, screaming and shuffling are heard. Jeremiah is then seen coming through the door, and he is accompanied by a man with his arms tied behind his back. The man looks very haggard, and he is wearing a Draven t-shirt. He continues to struggle against Jeremiah forcing him through the door, but his efforts are in vain. He begins to scream for mercy, but it seems that his pleas are falling on mostly deaf ears.)
Man: What the hell do you think you're doing?! I hadn't even met any of you people until you threw me in that van after the last edition of Rapture!! What did I do to you people?!
(The DLK fan continues to scream, but everyone remains focused on their pastor as Jeremiah forces him ever closer to the pulpit.)
Matthews: Brothers and sisters, I want you to feast your eyes upon one of Draven's foremost followers. He has made the conscious decision to turn his back on any and every one of the faithful, and has cast his lot with one of Satan's foremost earthly messengers.
(The crowd of parishioners turns as one towards the DLK fan, and each gives him a perturbing stare of disgust.)
Matthews: Jeremiah, bring him forward. Friends, it is time that we witness the fate that will shortly befall Draven in just a few short days.
(Matthews then turns to the choir and motions. Two of the larger, brawnier male members come forward, and Matthews hands each of them a shovel that was concealed behind the pulpit. They head back in the direction of the choir, and they begin to dig a plot, as piles of dirt begin to rise on either side of the prospective hole. Jeremiah continues to control the DLK fan quite easily, as it appears that the man is a bit weak and malnourished. After a few minutes, the plot has been completely dug, and Matthews moves out from behind the pulpit and stops a few feet in front of the DLK fan and Jeremiah. Matthews then begins to address him.)
Matthews: Sir, there is quite an easy way for you to get out of the fate that awaits you. As you see, we have a funeral plot dug, and it needs filling. But, I am going to give you one last chance to save yourself. And all you have to do is answer one simple question.
Man: Whatever it is, I assure you, I'll do anything. I just want to go home to my family.
Matthews: Very well, do you hereby cast aside the ways of the great serpent and temptor Satan, and in turn, cast aside your loyalty to his heathen messenger, Draven Logan Kennedy?
(Without so much as a second, the man answers quite quickly.)
Man: Yes, yes, yes. Anything, please. Have mercy.
(Matthews then begins to examine the man up and down, and then he turns to his parishioners. )
Matthews: Brothers and sisters, you have heard this man's testimony and his request for salvation. Do you believe that he is sincere in all that he says and pledges to do?
(A murmur of whispers begins to take over the crowd of parishioners and this continues for a few moments. Shortly thereafter, a male member stands up from his seat at a picnic bench.)
Parishioner: Rev. Matthews, it appears to us this man lacks the sincerity necessary for us to judge that he should be released.
(The DLK fan begins to shake his head in shock and then begins to let loose a blood-curdling scream before beginning to curse the crowd.)
Man: How in the fuck can you say that?!?!?! How can you tell that I lack sincerity! Let me go, goddammit, I have a family, I have friends! They'll come looking for me, and all of you will fry for it!
(With this, Jeremiah clubs him over the head with a heavy forearm shot. Accordingly, the DLK fan collapses to the ground in a heap. Jeremiah backs away from him, but remains in a vigilant fighting stance, like a lion stalking a wounded gazelle. Once the DLK fan has reached his feet again, Jeremiah springs forward and nails him in the jaw with a fierce bicycle kick. The man collapses again, and Matthews beckons to one of his grave digging baritones, who then hands him a shovel. The DLK fan slowly attempts to get to his feet once again, but before he can, Matthews addresses his flock once again.)
Matthews: Behold, such is the fate of any who would turn their backs on and spit on the name of the Lord thy God. Heed my warning, friends, for if you should ever stumble, I would hate to do the same to one of you. Alice, would you like to say something to our friend here.
(Alice slowly nods, and slowly removes the veil away from her face. She remains mostly pale, and her eyes remain glazed over, though they are no longer locked in a cloudy haze. She moves closer to the DLK fan, and stares at him for a second. She then pounces on him, and clenches her teeth on his right earlobe. She then rips away at his ear, and comes away holding half of the offending ear between her teeth. Her chin is covered with blood and the DLK fan groans and screams in pain. Jeremiah brings him to his feet, and Matthews motions for Alice to step back after she spits the ear out, casting it aside. He then raises his shovel over his head, and swings it, striking the DLK fan squarely on the left temple. This time, there is no scream, as the man is knocked out cold. Matthews picks up his lifeless body himself, and carries him for ten feet or so until he is standing at the edge of the freshly dug grave site. He then flings the motionless body of the man into the plot, and motions for the diggers. The diggers then begin to throw dirt in the grave, and he motions for the crowd to take a moment of silence and pray for the soul of the man they have just buried alive.)
(Following the moment of prayer, the parishioners and the choir, minus the two men still filling the plot begin to file away towards the parking lot and their respective cars. This leaves Matthews, Jeremiah and Alice alone by the pulpit and pavilion. Matthews turns towards the camera and begins to speak.)
Matthews: Draven, the time for our final confrontation has finally come. I hope you have been paying close attention to the events that have occurred here today. Heed this warning. Your time has come and you will pay. While you have paid for some of your sins, they are only a foreshadowing of the true comeuppance that will soon befall you. You have paid with your wife, but soon you will also pay with your title as well as your very life. The fate of your soul shall be one of endless torment, and you will rest in pieces.
I implore you to call in every sort of favor that you can if you hope to continue past this coming Saturday at Struggle for Power. You will need every friend and acquaintance you have ever known, and yet, I guarantee that not even all of it will be enough. You always mention how a new age is dawning when you and your stable take the ring. This time, I assure you, that you are correct. A new age is indeed dawning, but it is an age where I am the new Platinum champion, and your legendary career does not inspire any feelings of admiration among wrestling fans. I will take nothing short than extravagant pleasure in being the man that bests you and ensuring that you never hold any PCW belt, or even compete in another PCW ring ever again. And I will do it all, with your precious Alice by my side, and she will finally take her rightful place amongst the saved.
(Matthews again beckons to Alice, who slowly walks towards her new spiritual mentor. She comes very close to "The Evangelist," and when she reaches an appropriate distance, brings both of her arms around Matthews in what can only be deemed a loving and caring embrace. The camera pans over her far shoulder where Matthews can be seen with a maniacal smile across his face. He then begins to laugh unsettlingly, a sound that may be enough to inspire goosebumps across the arms of some PCW viewers.)
(Alice eventually releases her hold on Matthews and he reaches into the pocket of his suit jacket. His hand emerges, clutching an ivory crucifix. By this time, the two grave diggers have finished filling the hole and are in the process of smoothing over the dirt that has forever entombed one of DLK's fans. Matthews waits for a few moments until they're finished, and walks to the center of the patch of dirt, and he gets down on one knee, appearing to be in prayer while still clutching the crucifix in his left hand. When his eyes open, he clutches the crucifix with both hands and raises it over his head. He then brings it down in a motion that would remind cult horror fans of Abraham van Helsing impaling Dracula in his heart, and the crucifix sticks in the ground, marking the grave site. Matthews then rises to his feet, and he, Jeremiah, Alice and the two grave diggers walk off into the horizon.)
(As they head out of frame, the camera pans to the crucifix, which now doubles as the grave marker. After a few moments, the crucifix unexpectedly bursts into a vibrant blue flame. With this, the scene then fades to black.)
Blest are the pure in heart,
