Earlier today, Adrian Cochrane asked me to send out this TwitLonger tweet to all of PCW regarding the stupid feud with THW and his new fed.
#OOC #NotViolatingCeasefire #EveryoneRead My heart is breaking. I don't mean for that to come off in some sort of melodrama manner, but I've always been an upfront, honest, and passionate person that, while I tried to avoid trouble, it had a tendency to find me. And I hate to see situations like this. Because that's not what this hobby is supposed to be about. This is a game. A very competitive game, but a game, nonetheless. Let me just put a small disclaimer here that I have good intentions with this post, I hope no one misinterprets anything being said here, but if anyone does and this causes things to only get worse, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart for the outcome, but I'm only doing this because it has gone way too far.
Any negative comments towards EXODUS Pro that has anything to do with THW, Ryan Dangerous, or any related words or phrases is completely unfair. Clint is a completely different individual who I have known for six-going-on-seven years and he has always been a stand-up guy and does not deserve to receive heat just because he just gained 6 handlers from THW (only 4 of which have no ties to PCW at all).
THW no longer exists, Ryan Dangerous no longer runs a fed nor has a staff position in any fed. If you had a problem with his managerial style, I completely understand, you are 100% entitled to your opinion, but they are no longer relevant because he is done doing so. But the facts are that our choices and actions are what determines the type of person we are, not our opinions. I could have the opinion that some person isn't a very pleasant person but it's the moment that I act upon that and cause physical harm to said person, I am wrong. THWers, you are entitled to your opinion of PCW. PCW, you are entitled to your opinion as well. But when you let your opinions turn into actions and you let actions turn this game into a poisonous bloodbath, EVERYBODY LOSES.
I was staff at PCW. I was staff at THW. I had fun in my time in both feds, granted neither ended the way I wanted it to. There are people in BOTH fed that I care a great deal about, mainly due to the fact that when I'm staff in a fed, I make my handlers my number one priority and occasionally look into their best interest too deeply. My caring personality has nothing to do with this. Something that absolutely exhausted me to the bone was the grudge between the two companies. It made me miserable, something I do not play this game to be. I tried to be a mediator. That didn't work. I tried to move on from the feud. That didn't work. Both sides wanted the other side to completely die and I hated being around that kind of toxic attitude, because it caused me to be bitter, and I am far from a bitter person.
At this point in time, no one is benefitting from all of this. Reputations are being destroyed, bridges are being burned, and people are getting fed up and quitting. A large percentage of us are Americans who just had two catastrophes literally kill many of us, and some not very far from us (the Texas explosion was only down I-35 from where the PCW fedhead is from, and I know there are a lot of handlers from the Boston area). Life is too short for us to hold grudges. Confucius once said, βTo be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it.β
Both fedheads have asked you all to drop the attacks and move on with your lives. I applaud them for that, but I request (but not require) everyone take it one step further. Forgive and let go. Clear your efedding life from any bitterness, any hatred, any toxic feelings that you two sides have (I'm sure most of us have enough of that in our real lives to handle more of it). Stress levels from all of this is not good for anyone's physical, mental, emotional, or (if applicable) spiritual health. I ask to quit seeking revenge at one another. Because you are letting these vengeful feelings become a part of your life when it's honestly not worth it at all. I don't know about you guys, but feeling bitter about something a person did in a game 20 years from now isn't on my to do list.
For everyone's benefit, I ask, let this war die before you let any innocent lives (Exodus Pro) get caught in the crossfire. Deep down inside, I know most of you have to be just as tired from all this conflict as I am. Bare with me through one more quote:
βDarkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.β -Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you for reading this and I sincerely hope we can worry about our future in this game and not focus on the past.
