“Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” - 1 Kings 2:9
What is the true difference between good and evil? Is it a definitive difference in spiritual philosophy or is it simply a difference of viewpoints on individual matters? How do human beings truly tell the difference between the perceptions of good and evil? It is often noted that the evil are wicked and the good are righteous, however we are not allowed to make that judgment for ourselves. Human beings are born into ideological bondage upon their birth, harshly thrust into a pre-established set of rules and beliefs without the chance to make these intense judgments for themselves.
It is a natural instinct of the human spirit to question, however what is that same spirit to do when all of the pre-established beliefs denounce its own interpretation of good and evil? Most commonly, that spirit will break to the crushing weight of isolation and disregard its true beliefs in favor of acceptance among the established majority. Human beings have no true choice; we are born into a society where the concept of "good" and "evil" are already decided for us, we have no capability to make the deduction personally. Logic oftentimes does not enter into the human psyche; we are often complacent with the pre-rendered notions of justice and consequence upon our birth. It is in this fact that the true ignorance of the human mind begins to establish its boding presence...
It is the most common of human teachings that the good are righteous and the evil are villainous. However, what if the spirit disagrees with this viewpoint? It is simply disregarded as ignorance or heresy and the pre-existing thought process continues to reign supreme. Truly the concept of “good” and “evil” is the epitome of human psychological control. The leaders of a godless society utilize these concepts to foster complacency and acceptance among the uneducated masses. The inherent fear people possess of facing rejection overrides their logic and they embrace the pre-rendered definitions. If one is “evil” than one shall be isolated and disregarded. Thusly, one is instead “good” so that he may find acceptance throughout society.
What is the true reason for the concept of evil? Is the notion that we as human beings call "evil" actually the true inherent nature we possess? This is the question those not enlightened by the lord would most passionately attempt to avoid. Those that would seek to manipulate and control fear the eternal master known as logic more than any uprising or rebellion. The simple reason for this fear is that when logic is applied by an enlightened mind, the control mechanism is revealed for what it truly is: a pre-existing set of beliefs utilized solely to herd the wayward sheep that comprise the masses.
What is "good" for some might be "evil" for others, therefore who are we to declare one side correct over the other? Is it not simply a matter of personal interpretation? It is widely noted that murder is "evil" and therefore "bad", however what if the murder occurred with good and logical justification? Are we still to assume it as evil? These are the logical questions that the godless pagans would hope to never encounter. Any type of logical and reasonable challenge to their system of control. This is the reason for the synthetic faith of the false messiah, as it is simply another layer of the control scheme.
However, even this scheme falls into a logical Gordian knot that may not be untangled. For the synthetic faith would speak of human equality, of the belief that all under the false messiah would be seen as equals regardless of ability or genetics. This is not possible however, as human beings are quite simply not equal. If we are all made equal, then how can one logically pronounce another's way as "wrong"? For if we are all equal, are we all not of equal intellect and thus fully capable of making judgments for ourselves? It is this simple question that destroys the logic of the societal leaders and makes clear the message of the great lord in the skies above.
They fear the truth my heavenly father, they would dare not listen to one who would go against the generally accepted beliefs and attempt to imbue them with the light of truth. They fear the seraphic radiance of god, for they know that the light of truth would reveal their true spirits as nothing more than soulless marionettes being manipulated by sin. Therefore they cling to their pathetic notions of good and evil. My lord, I am “evil” in the eyes of the pagan masses. Ironic is it not, that the only one who is truly “good” would instead be labeled as the antithesis. Let it not concern you Holy Father, for the will of god shall be done regardless of earthly label. I will show them all father. I will show them how ignorant their labels and accusations are. If I am to be seen as evil, then I swear to you I shall show this world what evil truly is!
The young one’s eyes calmly open and he rests from his intense meditation. As beads of sweat form upon his brow the young one breathes softly, the task laid before him crystal clear thanks to instructions from the lord. He sits calmly and quietly, completely at the mercy of nature’s elements. Sitting shirtless in the wilderness the young one absorbs the serenity of nature, a clear reminder of how important his task to purify the world and restore paradise truly is.
The dark one known as Sjin rises to his feet and slowly gazes over his surroundings. Situated on the edge of a rushing river, the black spirit turns his attention to the flowing waters in front of him. In the waters he sees all who would defy the will of god. Rushing along towards eternal damnation with no means of ceasing the flow. This is the fate of those that would embrace a synthetic faith instead of the pure and golden light of the grand design of fate.
He now gazes over to his right, laying his eyes on a large source of the hatred he faces. For situated next to him is a rather bizarre sight, as small birdcage rests on the soft soil nearby. Inside the cage upon the perch is the animal known as Corvus corax, the common raven. Slowly now the young one continues his rhythmic gaze upon the bird, the small beady eyes of the animal maintaining a cautious gaze at the young soul in front of him. The common raven is known to be one of the smartest of all birds in existence, thus it is no surprise that the raven is somewhat hesitant and untrusting of the same individual that has presumably imprisoned it within the confines of the small cage.
While continuing to maintain his stoic gaze on the birdcage, the dark soul known as Sjin now speaks aloud to a deity that exists only beyond the eternal boundaries of the stars...
“Let it be noted that the holy will of the great father shall be done with speed and passion. Father, gaze down upon your messenger and let your holy light consume his soul. The battle of good and evil is approaching father, I am met with resistance in reaching my goal yet again. It is a foe I have not encountered before dear father, that being the dark pagan known only by the name of Brytain. It is somewhat ironic, a woman known by the same namesake as a vicious and evil monster that epitomizes the inherent horror of duality…is actually playing the role of hero I this drama. Yes father, I am the “evil” one in this battle; I am the hated foe that the holy knight known as Brytain must rise up to battle. He is to be the savior of the masses, yet is represented by a name that is more synonymous with evil and impending destruction. What is the reason for such a logical fallacy? He would proclaim his superiority and yet he is nothing more than a decadent member of human society father, a single pagan that happens to be seen in higher esteem than his brethren at a given time. It defies all rationale and logic, why would the masses embrace a woman that is the embodiment of true evil’s namesake while disregarding the one that is actually trying to help?”
At this point, Sjin breaks his gaze from the eyes of the raven and slowly looks upwards towards the sky. It is almost as if he is looking for an answer to his question, a correction for the anomaly currently happening within his incredible mind. However, it appears that he is not granted his answer as he slowly looks back towards the raven and continues once again.
“Alas, it is not my place to correct abnormalities; rather it is my place to simply weed them out. If paradise is truly to be resurrected anew, it must be completely devoid of imperfections. I am eternally bound by the parameters of this perfection; I cannot truly find peace unless the deeds are done. The resurrection will not happen in the presence of the darkness, thus there cannot be a representative of evil within the confines of reality. Evil is embodied by this raven, just as it also represents the roadblocks I must overcome on the road to purity. As a result, in addition to disallowing the presence of this bird, I must also disallow the presence of woman. A woman known only by the name of Brytain, the outward manifestation of the evil nature contained within the raven’s black wings. He must be destroyed if the world is to be reborn. I hear the cries, I feel the pleas. Mother Earth is crying in pain, the burning and searing pain that the saninners unleash upon her. I must save a dying world. I must heal a wounded essence. I must retake this world in the name of the messiah. The world is meant only for purity, thus just as the pure white dove must remain the evil black raven must be removed without haste. Bless your son Holy Father, I am about to embark on the campaign.”
Sjin now slowly turns his head away from the bird and once again simply stares ahead into perpetual nothingness. He calmly gazes into the river, watching at the water simply flows along idly, never once questioning the reason for its movement. He sees the fate of the impure world in this, as he knows that the wretched humans who would mar euphoria with their presence would dare not question their earthly leaders. After all, it is unnatural for the sheep to question the shepherds that herd them.
The dark spirit continues his blessed time in solitude by kneeling near the edge of the river and slowly placing his hand in the flowing water. He feels the calm coolness of the water, knowing that in spite of indicating the fate of a damned world it also represents the repressed purity that Mother Earth so passionately wishes to display once again. The gentle coolness of the river is meant to serve as the manifestation of the planet’s natural peace, a peace that has been taken away by the hideous sinful natures of the human race. He knows that it is his mission to turn this same world into his beloved Eden once again, a place with no sin or evil; the literal definition of paradise.
However the black soul also realizes that in order for him to embrace this paradise forever he must walk through the very fires of hell itself. It will be a tiresome and painful quest, filled with trials and tribulations that would easily push a normal man over the cliff known as insanity. He knows that he has little to no allies; he is simply a messenger of god sent into the den of inequity to restore purity and morality. Truly a mouse in the snake pit, the young one is forever alone and without physical assistance, he knows that the beloved god of all creation is his only source of power and determination.
The thoughts drive the young one to the boundaries of absolute rage as he thinks of those that would attempt to prevent his embracing of eternal peace. He thinks of all that have stood against him in a vain attempt to keep of the façade of human dominance over Mother Earth. He thinks of those like the man known as Brytain, a woman that is literally the very embodiment of human evil he is fighting so valiantly to destroy. A man so vain that he would embrace immorality and sin as opposed to pure light and divinity, all because he knows that his impure spirit would be judged unworthy to taste the fruits of Eden restored.
While still thinking these thoughts Sjin rises slowly and once again looks toward his target, the beacon that allows him to hone in and focus his upcoming attack, the small birdcage housing the raven He walks over now and simply places his hands on the outside of the cage, allowing his mind to work once again; asking why the fact that he would resist the individual represented by this animal makes him so hated. He realizes that he will always be hated as he speaks the truth in a realm where truth is met only with accusations of heresy; however he still ponders why humans hate him so much for defending the will of god.
He seemingly abandons his quest for answers however, as he lets go of the cage and ignores the defensive squawk of the raven before kneeling in sweet prayer to his heavenly father...
“Time and time again I am challenged father. Time after time I am accosted by those that would disregard the holy light in favor of embracing the more aesthetically appealing darkness. Dear and righteous lord, I truly cannot comprehend how a sinful mind functions. I possess the cognizance and intellect needed to read the true words of the divine, yet this is one equation that I just cannot solve. Why do they act in such an illogical manner? They all embrace darkness instead of light, evil instead of good, immorality instead of purity. It is just unfathomable to me that this is the representation of the best that the world has to offer. There is no way that these pitiful and base creatures can be the most dominant species produced by this beautiful world. I look at them in total disgust father; they are like wretched black spots on our ivory white paradise. I look at those like this Brytain character and realize how pertinent my task truly is. This forsaken soul does not care about repenting his sins or embracing the holy light, he seeks only to satisfy his deadly sin of greed by gaining fame and prestige through shutting out god’s holy light. To take the same motive of evil is the same as pledging eternal support to evil itself. Heavenly father, let us make certain that this darkness will not consume the paradise that we shall soon restore.”
Sjin pauses for a deep moment now and slowly drops his head towards one side. His body begins to visibly shake; obviously the incredible rage inside of him is threatening to overflow once again. Talking about his mission, about his foes, brings out a violent temperament in the young man that would frighten even the greatest of men were it to be unleashed. Fortunately for humanity however, the dark one maintains control on this night. After suppressing his anger, he resumes his gaze towards the heavens and speaks once again.
“Eden beckons ever so closely dear lord; it is within reach so long as we continue our mission of purity. The worthless pagan drones will forever attempt to stop us father, but I will not let their fear interrupt my holy crusade. They are afraid. They are afraid of the truth I represent and of the fate that will befall their souls on the Day of Judgment. All of them realize that they will be judged unworthy and hurled into the infinite blackness of oblivion, completely disregarded as the wretched casings of sin that they truly are. A woman known only as Brytain is simply one of those that would openly stand and attempt to manipulate destiny, however he will serve as an example utilized to further god’s message. The pagan world will see his destruction and hopefully realize that the same fate will befall all who would not surrender to the faith and pay the same price as the faithful to enter into the blessed land of Eden. The symbol of evil will be purged; the black raven is to be replaced with the white dove. With this battle I will alert the entire planet as to the fate of their damned world. I stand steadfast and proud at the head of light brigade, ready to charge and destroy all who would stand against your holy will. I will stand alone as the pillar of strength, representing the good as it triumphs over the hideous evil. The will of god is eternal; therefore those who refuse to yield to its authority shall pay the ultimate price!”
With his message completed, the dark one rises and grabs the birdcage again before calmly picking it up, seemingly ready to depart from his serene paradise of solitude. However, before he exits he simply gazes into the flowing waters of the river once again. The raven in the cage becomes restless, beginning to squawk loudly, yet he pays the animal no mind as his simply gazes into the calm flowing waters of the river. It is as this point that he allows his mind to wander and the subconscious thoughts begin to dominate his essence once again. He begins to envision the wonders of Eden anew, of the pristine beauty that will be eternally his upon completing his holy crusade in the name of god.
The black spirit known as Sjin now diverts his attention ever so slightly as he turns away from the flowing waters to gaze upwards into the starlit night sky once more. He sees a reflection of purity in the stars above, knowing that in Eden restored the beauty of the world will be illuminated by the starlight. He gazes upwards into the realm of the heavens beyond the blanket of starlight, knowing all too well that his lord and savior is simply waiting to descend and save the forsaken world upon which he currently stands.
Slowly breaking his gaze from the stars, Sjin now calmly sits the birdcage on the ground nearby and drops to one knee. Casually reaching over, he quickly unlatches the door to the cage and opens it, allowing the bird to fly freely into the night sky. While most would expect the raven to fly away, the bird instead circles around the general vicinity, seemingly keeping an eye on the man that just granted him his freedom.
A small smirk comes over the young man’s face now as he calmly extends his right arm out from his body. He locks his elbow and keeps his arm dead straight, the black fingerless glove on his hand being his only source of protection from the elements. While keeping his arm outstretched, a very strange incident occurs at the raven actually comes and lands on his hand like a perch!
With the bird resting on his arm, Sjin quickly bends his elbow and brings the bird closer to his face. The raven squawks and flaps its wings to fly away…only to sudden stop in mid-motion when the man flings his hair back and exposes his pale and bright green eyes. He maintains a fixated gaze on the eyes of the raven, not blinking once as he draws it closer to his face. The bird maintains a demeanor of complete calm, almost as if he is entranced by the young man’s frightening eyes.
While still holding the raven, the man now utters a bizarre phrase in a language that only a select few could possibly comprehend...
“Ego obtutus oris de Corpus corax. Ego animadverto vereor de clementia. No iam et vindico nuntius de ruina...”
This weird statement complete, Sjin now quickly jerks his arm upward and lets the raven fly away. As the bird flies away, he maintains a gaze on it until it is completely out of sight, eventually disappearing into the sea of stars. Once this is done, he calmly rises to his feet and simply gazes at the river once again, seemingly reading some type of symbolism into his actions.
It is also obvious that he is taking as much time as he possibly can in an attempt to extend his stay in the paradise of solitude, even if only for a few additional seconds. He knows that as soon as he leaves this paradise he will enter into a war zone filled with nothing but enemies and battles. He knows they are waiting for him, for now led by the dark and forsaken soul known only by a single name: Brytain.
However, in spite of his own personal desires, the will of god must be done. With this final fleeting thought the dark one emotionlessly turns away from the river and looks to depart. Before exiting however, he simply gazes upwards once more and speaks aloud to his lord and savior one final time...
“One time my lord. One single time long ago I was one of these same lost sheep, living a life devoid of meaning and purpose. I swear on the holy light of god that this mistake will be rectified through the blood of my enemies, beginning with a foolish soul going by the name of Brytain. Soon we will enter into the true battle of good and evil my lord; it is then that we will witness to true triumph of the holy light brigade. The seraphic radiance that consumes my spirit will radiate and burn all that would be infected by the virus called sin. Blessed is the will of the one true messiah, I shall ensure that the grand design is followed, regardless if the pagans wish to obey or not. I know of the pain that I am to suffer my dear father. I will suffer the pain of physical wounds and the torment of forced isolation. Yet this pain is but a fleeting moment of eternity for me, I will suffer through anything as long as I can make certain that your holy will is done. As I stand alongside the rushing river I am reminded that this is symbolic of the world’s fate after the Armageddon. For after your descent the land shall be purified by a rushing river of pagan blood; those that took indiscriminately from the land will finally repay their debts in blood. I know not of earthly dreams and desires, only of the trials and tribulations of a holy messenger of god. I live not for myself lord, only for the blessed light of truth that comes from your word. I refuse to suffer the pitfall of defeat, therefore I openly swear to you that a single lone warrior called Brytain will fail in his endeavor and be smited like the sinful pagan he is. Blessed is the name of god, watch closely as I carry out the divine will!”
With this final statement, the dark one simply lowers his head and begins his trek back towards society, readying himself for the war he is about to engage in...
