The biggest prize in the Women's Wrestling Alliance today, the World Championship has been a part of the company's history since its very first day of existence. Sophia Young was the first champion as she won it at the very first WWA show, on Valentine's Day in 2014. It has featured such rivalries as Mya Lopez versus Terra, Terra versus Desiree Miles, Desiree versus Morgan Simmons, a villainous Mya Lopez versus Reyna Carter, and of course, the highly acclaimed battles between Reyna and Crystal Alvarez, the latter two names having set the bar for what World Title reigns are to be. Reyna's 298 days as the champion helped raise the title to new heights, and Crystal's first reign followed up with 189 days and 11 title defenses.

Sixteen different wrestlers have held the title. Crystal Alvarez has the most reigns with the championship at three. As already documented, Reyna Carter first reign as champion is the longest at 298 days (second longest ever out of every championship in the company), Crystal and Mariah Lopez are ties for the most defenses at eleven, while Princess Abeela has the shortest reign at 28 days. The title has been vacated twice. First time being when Morgan Simmons announced she was pregnant in September of 2015. Second time when Crystal Alvarez was announced with an injured shoulder following a CCP World Title match against Leon Lonewolf that coincided with WWA's brief hiatus.
