After an episode of Frenzy ends, usually the backstage area is crowded with wrestlers, agents, arena crew, ring crew preparing to head out to tear down the ring, maintenance crews heading out to clean the seating areas, but in an era of Covid-19, the backstage area is practically a ghost town. People are relegated to zones of the building, locker rooms becoming considerably less communal. On an upper concourse, away from everybody, the three members of The Purge have their room, and it is there that WWA backstage interviewer, Courtney Erickson, has arrived. When she knocks on the door, she’s met by Katrina “Hairicin” Knox, who towers over Erickson by a few inches.
Hairicin Knox: Can I help you?
Courtney Erickson: Ms. Maloney asked for some time to discuss…
Before Erickson can finish her sentence, Eavan Maloney steps into frame wrapped in two towels; one around her body, one around her head. She looks up at Hairicin and nods, before walking back into the room.
Eavan Maloney: You can sit near that corner there, the three of us will be on that back wall. Your cameraman can set up close to you. I’d rather my sisters be able to get to the door just in case. There’s a lot of people in this company out for themselves lately. Just give me a few minutes to change.
A few minutes pass and Eavan is in her leather biker gear as Zombie and Hairicin sit on either side of her. Eavan is in a surprisingly good mood considering how Frenzy ended. Erickson swipes around on her iPad at her questions before looking at the camera.
CE:,Good evening, WWA fans, and welcome to a site exclusive interview with one of the more polarizing figures in WWA. A woman who has gone through quite a few evolutions in her career. Being accompanied tonight by the members of The Purge, Wendy “Zombie” Pellegrini and Katrina “Hairicin” Knox, please welcome Eavan “Krigare” Maloney.
EM: Thank you.
CE: I know you said you had a lot of things to touch on, but let’s start with what is probably the biggest one, and that is your match at Friday Night Frenzy 185 when you will be teaming with Bella Robinson against Crystal Alvarez and Morgan Simmons. You and Bella have had a heated feud ever since you were World Champion…
Eavan holds her hand up to stop Erickson.
EM: WERE World Champion? No, see, you’re wrong. Far as I’M concerned, and the FANS are concerned, I am STILL WWA World Heavyweight Champion. I beat Bella Robinson clean in the center of the ring the first time. Mariella Trollpez got Dani on her side, nepotism much, and got Bella a rematch. Dani had the match restarted, and her, Mariella, and Bella conspired to take the belt off of me. So here we had a joke of a wrestler giving away title shots to people I had forgotten even still worked here, including Morgan Simmons. Come the triple threat, Morgan Trump steals the match like her namesake stole the election and now SHE holds the strap.
Far as Bella goes, let’s face it, the woman is obsessed with me. And at first it was kinda fun, you know? Now that she’s trying to be, what, this psycho bitch and attacking everyone? I mean…
Eavan shrugs as she cocks her head slightly giving a confused look on her face.
EM: When Bella starts training, dieting, and taking herself more seriously, maybe I will start taking her seriously as well. Right now, she’s not worth a damn thing. Actually, you know what? Maybe I’ll let her prove herself in our tag match, let her show us what she has.
CE: Let’s talk about your opponents in the tag match, who will also be your opponents at Halloween Fury. Crystal Alvarez who I know you have a ton of respect for, and the current champion, Morgan Simmons.
Eavan leans back and crosses her arms, contemplating her answer before leaning forward again, taking a deep breath, and closing her eyes.
EM: I’m going to say something that I think has been on the minds of a few people and nobody dared say it out loud. Crystal, you know I love you, you also know I’ll be blunt and honest with you. You’re overstaying your welcome and you know it. The once untappable submitted to me. Your feud with Jung Moon ending in what, two or three matches where she beat you every time? Maybe it’s time to hang them up. Take your wife’s advice, set up a school, train future stars. You don’t have it in you anymore, and as hard as that is to hear, you and I know it’s the truth.
Far as Morgan goes, and if one talks about Morgan, you have to talk about the rumors of some Toxic crap or something. I’ve seen others shudder talking about it, and here I am thinking the company had a considerably weaker roster then. Though admittedly it has a couple of dinosaurs who think they can still go, which means it’ll likely come down to ME handling things. As always. At Beach Bash, I’m taking my title back, that’s practically guaranteed. Zombie and Hairicin here, they’re taking the Tag Titles they should have won the last time, and they’ll get five minutes alone with Mariella, which really… I don’t even think any of her exes ever wanted.
CE: Another team that seems to have been getting traction as of late is the Pretty Committee, the team of Bianca LeBlanc, Veronica Taylor and Christina Fierce. They’ve made allusions of Wildside, your sisters in law Seleana and Zenna, signing with another manager. A few weeks back, you petitioned Danielle Lopez about you yourself becoming Wildside’s manager. Can you clarify if anything has progressed since?
Eavan smirks a little.
EM: First of all, I have to commend you on being able to remember their names. I remember Farce but only because she’s usually the mouthpiece for the three of them. Second, when it comes to managing Wildside, I was just toying with Mariella while she was off on suspension. I’ll give her credit, though. Getting into Chrystalina’s head, sorry fam force of habit, it’s a smart strategy. When the time comes for me to walk away from the ring, maybe I’ll expand my clients list. With Lexa now GM over in another company, I took over managing The Purge. Are there others who are either interested in joining the cause or that I have my eye on? Absolutely. I won’t tell you who, I’ll let the rumors start themselves. It’s free publicity at that point…
As Eavan is about to continue, there is a loud knock outside the door. Before Hairicin can answer, Big Beauty and Mandy the Monster barge in. Zombie and Hairicin stand up as does Eavan. Before any words can be spoken, the four women in the tag team championship match come to blows, spilling out of the locker room into the concourse. Monster knocks Zombie aside, allowing her and Beauty to double-team Hairicin and send her crashing through one of the concession stands, followed by Zombie right after. Beauty grabs a popcorn machine and smashes it over their backs before security can arrive to separate the four of them, knocking over the cameraman and killing the feed.
