On December 4th, 2020 during the Women’s Wrestling Alliance’s special televised event Wildcard IX: War is the Answer, Shannon Saint was arrested by FBI agents following his cinematic match inside Mall of America against Tyler Brownlee. While the match itself did air on WWA television, the contest was entirely independent courtesy of Tyler Brownlee and Leon Lonewolf due to Saint not having a contract with WWA (more on that later in this post).
Earlier today, Saint went to court on charges of Tax fraud, tax evasion, multiple money laundering schemes, as well as severe cases of sexual harassment AND stalking of multiple WWA employees and staff members.
Upon the allegations being brought to WWA chairwoman Danielle Lopez’s attention, Shannon’s contract with the promotion was terminated on the spot. The Nevada Supreme Court ruled that Saint was found guilty on the harassment charges levied against him and would be sentenced to twenty-five years in prison with no parole. However, the tax charges against Saint were thrown out which caused an uproar in the court proceedings. But there were other findings during the proceedings that came to light which Shannon will be awaiting a second trial for illegal rooster AND dog fighting rings set up in Reno, Nevada with the trial expected to take place on New Year's day in 2021.
